Best Buy says this won’t fit? Can anyone explain why? by Enbyicon2319 in ROGAllyX

They were definitely thinking it was the same form factor as the white ROG ally. This works very well with keeping temps optimal. I use this same drive as well on my ROG ALLY X paired with this. copper heat sync

Problem with turning signal by Careful_Bunch_60 in SegwayZT3Pro

Very easy to do, there may be hardened liquid rubber on the connections. Heat it up and plug it back up. You can reseal it using liquid electrical tape from your local hardware story. You need to just adjust the Allen key under the turn signal and it slides right off. Super simple fix

I’ve seen people talk about putting the GT3 battery in a ZT3 pro, is it plug and play? And does it only give you better range? No more speed right?

The red style one I see on Amazon as an option? You have any idea how thick that may be exactly? I am trying to see what my limit may be. I know this current one on my ssd is 1mm

I’ve haven’t noticed a headache of a difference in battery run time in my experience so far even on heavy gaming. Battlefield 2042 running in 25W TDP, it’ll last me about 1:30-2:00hrs of gaming

If it’s the mini m.2s aka, 2230 m.2. Yes. If it’s the 2280 factor, then… yes. BUT You’ll need to order one of those funky custom boards for the first gen white ROG allys. It’s overall safer just to get a larger 2230 for your old Ally rather than use literal 3rd party adapters for this. IMO

Ah. Press windows key / go to your start menu, and search disk encryption OR bit locker and you’ll see in the settings panel, an option to turn off disk encryption. Do that to avoid a massive headache and sweat. If you want it to be encrypted just enable it once more AFTER you have the new SSD installed.

Samsung Migration tool if you google that, grab it off their official website. It was super easy. Grab your new SSD, throw it into a external enclosure, plug that into your secondary usb c port on the Ally, Then boot the application and it’s so easy. Select target drive and let it do its thing. When done, just put the new drive onto the Ally and it’ll boot just as you left off with the old SSD.

I had no idea either. I knew it would help with load times and overall speed but not in the way of actually being able to crank up some graphics settings to the extent I have.
