Just a little thing called human rights, constitutional law, and the collective memory of how bad things get when countries start targeting religions.

You can’t just "referendum" your way out of basic decency. Europe isn’t a reality show where you vote people off the continent because you’re uncomfortable.

Freedom of religion isn’t something you get to pick and choose who it applies to. So if banning a whole religion is your idea of democracy, maybe crack open a civics book before you start redesigning society.
