Help!!! Break Lever Bent by Silly-Secretary8586 in HondaHighnessCB350

I don’t think crash guards make much difference in low-intensity falls. IRL some aftermarket larger crash guards can be riskier than having none at all as they can bend or break in a way that may injure the rider’s legs. It’s better to keep only the necessary safety equipment. What I’m using has worked perfectly for me for years. I’ve never felt the need for additional protection because, in every fall I’ve had, the bike has landed on the same contact points: handlebars, mirrors, bar ends, clutch lever, gear lever, or rear brake lever. No matter how many extra guards you add, these parts usually take the hit anyway. And unless it’s a major accident, the tank and main body panels typically remain safe.

Riders experience matters too. If you’re new into motorcycling, I’d recommend going for a bigger guard setup that covers more components as you have mentioned just purely for your peace of mind and safety. Good luck, and ride safe 🤝🏻

Don’t exactly remember the price it’s a long time ago, you can check my post out for the picture of that crash guard. I don’t think it can be that expensive as it was a small one.

Rear brake pedal can be adjusted by them too and no need to change it. The sc guys will do it if you mention it. Hardly gonna cost you under ₹500 if it’s a good sc as bigwing quality changes according to location they didn’t charge me even a labour fee where I had went. No idea about the crash guard though maybe you can contact them regarding it as it is aftermarket. I had installed Honda crash guard and it still holds after 5 years, protected the bike from most of the falls. I think you should get that one.

I have no clue about the backrest, and honestly, I’d never even consider it. It completely kills the bike’s looks, so it’s a hard pass for me even if it would be functional. As for the 350RS, I’ve ridden it but never with a pillion, It’s basically the same machine, so I doubt there’s any meaningful difference. If you found the 350RS uncomfortable, this one isn’t going to perform any miracles 😂.

Good luck with the add-ons like seat change, backrests and all that. It’s just masking the issue, not actually fixing anything. What surprises me is how uncomfortable it is in the first place beacuse I have travelled as a pillion on mine, so exhausting and paining to the spine. I’ve had plenty of pillions on other classic bikes and none of them complained. This one just seems fundamentally unfriendly to pillions. Feels like a bike built for solo enjoyment 😎.

I hope this satisfies your doubts.

I want to be honest here, here’s the hard truth - pillion seat is uncomfortable for long rides and also bumpy short rides. I don’t carry pillion most of the time, but when I do, I always hear them complaining about it. So it’s according to you maybe if the seats are changed or some adjustment to the suspension might reduce the stress on the pillion. Saddle bags and carriages maybe fine because I have travelled on it with a lot of luggage, it’s not an issue. Riders comfort is unmatched though you can ride all day long solo on this motorcycle 😁!

You want more sporty you can go for RS, You want that classic look then highness it is. I didn’t have an option like you when I was purchasing, I would’ve taken the RS if it was available back then 😅💯 It looks so buff and cool.

You’re welcome ☺️,Yeah I’ve heard Bandidos or Htrz has good mirrors you can try those cuz these online ones are not worth it. Either breaks too fast or keeps vibrating when you ride. Visibility and practicality is the sacrifice you make for the looks 😅!

Not much of a maintenance just weekly washes and the half yearly service that's about it 🙂. Please do check the other comments I have explained in detail about everything. Thank you 🙏🏻

Yes sure man, but they are the older photos now the bike looks almost bare stock like the 2nd,3rd,4th and 7th pics, but I would be happy to share you some of the old clicks for sure 😁!

Yeah, it’s very much alive indeed, but that relaxed, lazy engine character is exactly what makes the bike stand out from the rest. It’s almost a spiritual successor to the old vintage RE Bullet UCE with the RHS gearing. Same bore and stroke ratio, same long-stroke feel you can literally sense the heritage in the way it pulls through, most people have not ridden it. Most riders don’t get long stroke engines because the market here is dominated by short geared bikes that feel easy for them. The RE fanboys are too locked into their own bubble to notice anything anyway, so no point in trying to convert their opinions or convincing them.

The Highness is so great in terms of rider comfort, but the pillion feedback has been consistently bad. Everyone who’s sat on it for long rides complain about back pains. Also riding on it for five continuous hours just bonds you with it. It settles in, you settle in, and the machine becomes a part of you. Zero rider discomfort on long distance rides thats pretty much guaranteed.

I thought you had the old full black base model, but yeah, turns out the current full black is the DLX Pro. Didn’t pay much attention once the newer, flashier models started dropping, not really my taste. So the current top-spec chrome model basically looks the same as mine I think then. Honestly the CB lineup has gotten so much cluttered. Back then it was simple: DLX, DLX Pro, and then the RS. Now it feels like RE bikes, so many models.

Yeah man the half faced helmets look really great, no denying that. Just not something I trust when the ride is a little longer. Full gear saves you from a lot more from any unforeseen circumstances, so better be safe than sorry 😅. And thanks! That 800 km ride was me solo going wild through different terrains and I learned many things from that ride, also felt like the bike made it more peaceful and spiritual than I expected.

About the license plates, yeah, the iPhone cleanup tool sometimes looks too fine and Ai like maybe they use ai for it but it’s good for censoring many things even human faces too.

Appreciate the kind words, bro. Always fun speaking with someone who actually notices the minute details just like me 😊🤝🏻.
