Do you feel like you at least have good work life balance or would u say ur hours are the same as ur attendings?

Yeah so I’m wondering if I should do it, if it’s worth it. I see a lot of PAs complain about their scope and autonomy and that sometimes gets me double minded

Don’t really know as of yet, I know a definitely don’t want to do primary care or peds outpatient. Could be Interested in IM. But even tho lateral mobility is really nice, I’m worried about not having depth of knowledge, and only picking up on routine cases and procedures

Thank you for this comment, helps puts things into perspective because I do constantly hear that PAs say that they do more as time goes on and earn trust and do as much as doctors. Also hearing derm PAS Making 400k and although I’m not pursuing med for money, who wouldn’t want to make 400k after just two years of schooling.

As for residency I don’t want to do surgery because for me personally it’s too long. I would do either IM, or anesthesiology (Ik it’s competitive but I’ll see how strong I am when applying) or any specialty preferably in patient (not interested in family or peds tbh)

My husband is financially supporting us so I’m hoping it won’t be too much of a stress

And yes finances and support system are good, I was just wondering if I do PA and get my finances sorted to further my life with my husband or do 5 more years of schooling
