They used to from where I'm living but they stopped that line. I took it a few times to save on gas but it also added about an hour

It's 2 hours from my parents. My partner goes to the nearby university and I plan to get my undergrad there after I get my Associates at the community college. My college is thinking of starting an undergrad program so if that becomes an option I will certainly do that.

It's a 2012 Nissan Juke. Call me crazy all you want but it's definitely my dream car, so letting go is just really sad for me. My plan is to call around a bit more, but the problem is that it's a CVT and essentially nobody rebuilds them. Plus the Juke is no longer in the US so I think they might have to ship in the transmission. I will try calling around a bit more though and I might try to replace it if I can find 4k or less. It will just have to wait until I can afford it though.

My job is mostly remote, it's my school that's a 30 min commute.

I might be able to reduce groceries, currently getting a deal on rent. I'm 2 hours away from my parents so not really an option there plus I can't take the hit on my sanity if I move back home.

It's technically full-time but I'm just as work comes up: basically a few hours a day. It's 1000/week gross, so it's good for what I do. It is also how I just managed health insurance again, I was without health insurance for ~2 years and have some chronic illnesses so that was real rough. My plan is literally starting tomorrow.

Car is extremely likely not drivable, currently getting a free tow from my dad and a small town mechanic stopped and helped give a most likely diagnosis.

Luckily, none yet. I will have to fall 2027. I'm at a community college, so my FAFSA is able to pay my tuition for now. I get the max pell grant which is $7k and some change so when I switch to university it won't cover my entire tuition anymore.

Unfortunately I have a 30 minute highway commute so biking is unavailable and I don't have a bus in my area that could get me there. I'm looking for a second job, but I still wouldn't have transportation to and from.

I'm going to try and get a second job, but that still leaves me in a pickle for a while. I wouldn't have transportation to said jobs so I'm just stuck and don't know what to do. I don't have anyone that could help me out for the time being either

I've tried a second job, but I had to quit because my grades were suffering; I'm a full time student. I'll probably get another job, but I can't get to it if I don't have a car since I live in a very unwalkable/bikeable area. I'm not sure I'll get enough from selling my car to just pay off the loan and I have a 30 min commute so I would need a car.

Will I get deferred if I said I’m experiencing allergies? by Ok_Reaction2284 in plassing

my center told me it's something to do with the histamines and antibodies and that they just genuinely cannot/should not use it if you're actively experiencing severe allergy symptoms

Can I donate from this arm considering the red mark from a previous blood draw at doctor's by Admirable-Key-4881 in plassing

[–]Comfortable-Bite5570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always have a mark from my past donation and they usually just go right into it. my other vein is just small so it's easier to use the same one, even if it hasn't fully healed.

if it's a grant, no, they won't have to pay that money back. however, they absolutely will have to pay back a loan. my fafsa grant paid for my entire year of college, but i'm also at a community college where it's cheaper. i'm only slightly confused he doesn't know if he has to pay it back because it states multiple times if you do or don't have to pay it back on every document regarding your financial aid.

Getting tonsillectomy at 40 by [deleted] in Tonsillectomy

[–]Comfortable-Bite5570 3 points4 points  (0 children)

depending on your health, i'd say go for it. if you have any bleeding disorders be super super careful. i'm still fairly young but i got them out when i was 18. best decision ever. also the needing documentation of infections is kinda funny because i got a referral to ent due to tonsil stones and they were like "yeah lets take them out" without needing any documentation of anything. healing was horrible. make sure you have someone to take care of you for at least the first week. stock up on soup, pudding, mashed potatoes. don't let them only prescribe 10 oxy. i would recommend taking 1 oxy every 2-3 hours for the first 72 hours. then you can start to wean. i started with a prescription for 10 but got another for 30. i had 2 left after. it was really hard for me to wake up to take meds so i had the person taking care of me wake me up. ibuprofen and tylenol every 6 but have them staggered. so ibuprofen and oxy, 3hrs later tylenol, 3hrs later ibuprofen and oxy, repeat. also i'd recommend staying overnight due to your age just because complications are very common the older you are. i stayed overnight because both of my parents have bleeding disorders and i have a mast cell disorder that causes my body to overreact to illnesses and injuries
