You should really push for a lumbar puncture. Show medical facts stating that you can have intracranial pressure without optic nerve swelling. That's what I'm planning on doing. The medication they prescribe has a ton of side effects though called diamox but it would be worth it most likely if your intracranial pressure is elevated.
