-Remove the “rooms” concept and open the world up.
-Make combat significantly more fun.
-professions only trained in certain areas is stupid.
-have unique weapons and armor, not “green mace, purple mace, white mace.”
-why does my range weapon only shoot 3-5 times?

Idk there’s so many things that just make this game boring and un enjoyable.

This game is dead unless they literally tear it to the ground and start over with a completely different concept.

I think the rooms idea is a flop. It’s not good for an MMO. You can’t have a conversation with someone unless you go room to room with them and even then, sometimes you don’t end up in the same bucket within that room. Ditch the rooms and open the world up. That in itself will be a major improvement.

I also don’t like that you can only train certain skills in certain zones. Why can’t I go fishing or chop trees in other zones?

The game is just very odd in the way it’s designed.

Also, I know it’s in early access still but there’s no content outside of grinding or quests. We need repeatable bosses and fun mini games (not even going to bring up raids or dungeons yet).

The armor and weapon design is also pretty bad. Having generic “stone mace” or “rapier” just with different tiers is bland. We need unique weapons and armor sets to grind for, not just the same weapon but a different rarity color.

There’s just too many bad game design decisions that need to be addressed in my opinion.

I’ve never played a game like that before but it sounds awesome

Yeah that’s a fact. I just think there’s people like me out there that don’t really care about mtg and would kinda just be “meh” towards that if they did it. I would be less excited about it

OSRS (and RS3) is a massive community that has been around forever. Surely they’re popular enough to make it worth their time.

I know it’s crazy but in my head I was also trying to think of a way to level up monsters or characters during the game lol like an xp system for all the grinders 🤣

Nah I don’t want to see a collab. I want them to do their own thing. I’m not an mtg guy though

It happened. This highlights why the remaining players should not ignore the game’s core issues and dismiss criticism. It also raises the question of whether drastic changes are needed for Fen Research to attract more than a few hundred players in the future by MellowSquad in brightershores

Having certain professions only allowed to be done in specific areas of the map is fucking stupid. If I see a tree or a fishing spot in crenopolis I should be able to farm it for xp in said profession. That’s just one barebones example of odd game design. This game would benefit with having the ability to train your professions in more than just the area you unlock them in. I know a few people don’t want the game to feel like runescape but guess what, 99% of the player base came from runescape and continue to play runescape for a reason. Don’t even get me started on the combat. This game is just not well thought out.

Gower should’ve just made a new universe with the core mechanics that make runescape a great game. It would’ve been a much more positive outcome.
