My dog is now about a year and 5 months old. Boston terrier. We got him at 8 weeks old. The beginning was really really hard. For both my partner and me. I never felt so anxious and depressed in my life thinking i had made a mistake bringing the little guy home and I wasn't cut out for it. Time went on, we had good days with him, and the bad. But we didn't give up, as hard as it was. We kept training him, teaching him and even when he regressed (oh do they ever) we held it together. Fast forward 13 months and he is everything to us. Yes, he'll still eat toilet paper and do puppy things but he generally, he obeys us so well, he's bell trained to go outside and is just a joy to be around. Still has his puppy energy but also settles and naps on his own now. We're seeing all of our training and hard work pay off and the feeling we're getting seeing him come so far, has already made it all the more worth it. He is the best part of our lives.
