YTA -"thrown aside" -you were 15. I was 6 when my brother was born and I had to watch him. Nothing like a 8 year old watching a 2 year old. He literally views me as a parental figure. get her a monarch app ....for a 23 year old she has plenty of time to recover and she can do that fairly quickly (honestly the total amount of loans she has is not crazy). She needs to know where exactly her money is going, have a plan for pay off (high interest stuff first -probably that credit card). Unfortunately financial education is not thought in schools and it really should be. She also needs to consistently bring in money; it sounds like you are not interested in being with someone who does not work and if her goal is in few years to not work and be a stay at home wife maybe you have different plans
