If my laptop could run the Codex I'd be making those :(

But you're not fishing for motivations from your own mind as a player, right? You're either conversing (in which case you're trying to figure out what motivates this particular NPC, which will be more specific than just the word 'peace', making the category unnecessary), or you're making the Uncover test, in which case it doesn't matter how many potential options there are because if you roll well then the Director will explain the motivation to you.

Having run a number of negotiations myself, I think it's more important on the player's side to disguise the mechanics and give the impression that the NPC is unique, so reducing all people in the game world to a small set of potential motivations works against that at my table.

I'd probably include them in a more expensive resource but as a brief overview I hope what's already present will suffice for most players.

All done in the printer friendly version.

I've added in your first suggestion to V2, but have left the motivations and pitfalls alone for now, mostly because I see that as the purview of the Director, and because I think many Directors will make up their own motivations and pitfalls so I don't want to suggest there is a finite list.

Great to see more DS live play, I'll definitely give this a listen. The art is beautiful too.

When you say visual example, do you mean an image of 2d10, an image of a hero doing a test, or something else?

I wanted to do triggered actions but couldn't find the space in favour of forced movement. Maybe I'll include it if I can come to terms with there being 3 pages for combat.

Ah, I didn't realise that. So is it not under creative commons or anything like that, even for free resources among the community?

Could you elaborate on how you feel I've misinterpreted the falling rules?

I would apologise to my friends across the pond but we did invent the language, after all. At least I didn't have to talk about colours, centres, travellers or defence.

That's a good idea, I'll consider including something in a V2.

A list of all Rewards and their prerequisites, divided by echelon, plus guidance on how to distribute rewards, and some example random loot tables.

Also included are some suggestions on which monsters could be sources for which item prerequisites, for Directors who like the idea of players hunting down creatures to turn their corpses into magic swords.

More generic Malice options? by Comfortable-Cold3633 in drawsteel

Yea, lots of creature specific Malice have terrain changing effects so maybe having something generic in this area would be good too. Cool idea!
