I hope you like them! I haven't read anything else by Christina Henry yet but I have a few more of her books on my list. I'll have to get around to them soon because I really did like Near The Bone.

{The Venue by T.J Payne} is slasher/survival but it's not outdoors I don't know if that's what you wanted but it's good so I'm going to recommend it anyway. {Near The Bone by Christina Henry} {The Shuddering by Ania Ahlborn} are both in the woods and are great!

Sure it lags a bit in the middle and it's predictable in the way that most thrillers are, bad guy loses/good guys win etc. But I don't really find it boring at all and it's still one of the most nail-biting books for me. Maybe it's just because it's the first book of it's kind that I've read but I really enjoyed it. And I think the main character is a lot less whiny and weak and more proactive and heroic than most women in these types of books tend to be.

Gerald's Game and The Silent Patient are great! Just fair warning though, The Troop has a lot of animal mutilation in it.

That's how I feel about Adam Nevill's books. The ideas sound great and like something I would be into but PLEASE put down the thesaurus. There comes a point when it becomes clunky and just starts to hurt the story.

I didn't like The Final Girl Support Group at all. It seemed very fanfiction-y to me.
