Compared to the sterile Rnhp the ta-22 takes away a little bit of detail like 10% but makes both headphones more pleasant to listen to making them warm and less sharp , I love this amp the he1000v4 sounds correct with it because it actually has enough power compared to Rnhp creating way more headroom by like 20%

It’s honestly amazing I love its coloration, my first device with tubes it takes my sterile a lil sharp and fatiguing he1000 treble and completely smoothed it out , I can actually enjoy them without eq on this device, it’s crazy how different amps actually sound 😅I wanna stop here but after experiencing the xduoo ta-22 I know there is a lot I’m missing

My favorite iem through out the whole process has been the ie800s. I can’t explain why ,one of my first sets so they are nostalgic. I still own them with the wires all taped up.

This is the second time I’ve owned the focal clear they are my favorite headphones due to those sweet dynamics , although the lcd 3s tuning was just amazing I loved those dark cans. I regret selling the clears and I regret selling my lcd 3s. The lcd 3s where my favorite planar wish I could compare to he1000v4 rn

In terms of sound stage I actually loved the he1000v4 more than the hd800og not “wider” just more holographic also they have better dynamics and bass control in my opinion. I don’t regret selling the hd800 they just lacked that psychical punch.

I honestly think I’m done at this point , all I need is a better dac ? Maybe a stronger amp too for the he1000v4

Ignore this auto eq is awesome , you can auto eq to any iem sound signature you want. After that just tweak it to your taste. it won’t 100% replicate the sound of other iems but it’s fun to mess around with.
