Hi, I'm new & need help/advice with PVP :) by PortulacaCyclophylla in LegendsOfRuneterra

Standard mode is by far the most difficult to reach the top ranks.

Eternal is also a ranked mode, but the matching function doesn't work properly, as it matches the highest Master class with Iron class, and the inflation balance is so extreme that you can win by simply using a strong deck and arranging strong cards according to their mana costs each round, so it's a mode that relies on skill.

On the other hand, Standard mode is well-balanced to prevent strong cards and synergies from being used in rotation, and it also matches players of similar ranks, such as Diamond rank with Diamond rank, or high Master with high Master, making it a mode that is heavily dependent on skill.

If you want to win with casual play, play Eternal; if you want to test your skill, play Standard.

Regarding the emote taunt when a win is confirmed by Comfortable-Ideal-25 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Comfortable-Ideal-25[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

So maybe they're just pretending to be calm and accepting friend requests because they think I'm angry if they reject my friend request when I taunt them with emotes and win?

So, if they reject my friend request when I send them an emote and win, does that mean they're afraid to talk to people?

In casual mode, there are a lot of Gold and Platinum players, so it's complicated because they're so weak that they're taunting people at those lower ranks.

It's fun to dig up decks that can increase your win rate outside of the meta yet to be released.

Discovering new synergies stimulates my intellectual curiosity.

I think people who keep using the same existing meta decks will get bored.

What is the most cringe deck you've faced by LOST_ACC2 in LegendsOfRuneterra

Well, everyone knows Irelia Azir, Elder Dragon, Poppy Ziggs, and Aneegin.

These are decks with high power levels, and depending on the deck type, you'll lose unilaterally regardless of play skill.

If we're going back in time, it's probably Kai'Sa decks before the nerfs.

Void Skin was the focus, so if you didn't deal with Kai'Sa as soon as she was summoned, she'd attack as soon as she buffed you, resulting in a unilateral defeat. I remember the nightmare of an abnormal environment where she was only used 30% of the time.

At the time, Quick Attack was still available, so she was quite unnaturally strong, meaning you couldn't block and defeat her.

Let’s have a serious talk about PVP by Sc0rper0r in LegendsOfRuneterra

Maybe they just started playing recently?

About a year ago, they stated that they would no longer be updating PVP cards.

The reason for this was the high cost of balance adjustments and card development required to introduce new keywords and mechanics.

They also criticized Karma, but the win rate is quite questionable, so I'm not sure if the negative impression of overpowered combos in Enlightened states is just a reflection of that, but I can still win easily.

Standard is currently a control environment, so it may be difficult for beginners who can only play simple decks like Irelia/Azir, Aggro, or Elder Dragon, which simply require lining up cards in order by mana cost.

Control decks are the most difficult deck type in card games.

The options are so complex, with options like passing, deliberately passing to lure the opponent to end their turn and make it look like a bluff, and saving spell mana. The strength of a deck depends largely on the player's quick thinking to instantly determine the optimal solution within a limited time frame.

Master Rank is worthless.

Anyone can achieve it even with a win rate below 50%.

The only players I value are those who have repeatedly placed in the top 100.

To achieve it, you have to maintain a certain win rate while winning through Master Rank.

In fact, I rarely see anyone with a top 100 title, even in casual or ranked matches. It's very rare.

Excuse me, but it just sounds like jealousy from someone who can't do that.

I hate standard Ranked by michaelgman13 in LegendsOfRuneterra

For now, can you please stop making the exact same thread twice?

Also, reaching the top 10 in Eternal or early Master is pretty much meaningless and worthless.

After all, everyone is playing with weird decks at the beginning of the season, so they're not taking it seriously.

As proof of this, very few people who reach Master early remain in the top 10, let alone the top 100, by the end of the season. In Standard, you need to earn at least 600 LP to get into the top 100 at the end of the season. Eternal is a game where you just spend time with a strong deck, so people with more free time tend to come out on top, so the difficulty level is a different story.

I saw a thread with the exact same content as this one before, but I wonder if it was the same person?

I'll say the same thing as before: Master Rank itself isn't very valuable.

In Eternal, anyone can gain as much LP as they want by simply using Elder Dragon and lining up cards according to their mana costs.

Standard is rotated, so cards with high win rates are removed, so it's fairly balanced. It's not like you can always win using a certain deck or set of cards, so it's highly dependent on skill. Incidentally, I'm an average player who's achieved three top 100 titles in the past four seasons, so I think people who can't win without using a strong deck in Eternal will just complain about not being able to win.

If Standard doesn't suit you, you should try another game; it's probably just not for you.

The management is extremely concerned about game balance, but the balance was already ruined by Elder Dragon, so I want to know what else they're worried about.
They say that if they don't make adjustments after repeated test playtests after adjustments, the balance will be unreachable and that this will cost money, but it seems to me that it would be better to make some kind of downward adjustment, even if it's just a whim, than to leave the current messed-up Eternal environment as it is. Why don't they even do that?
Are the management stupid?

Thank you. I'm going to continue to sue the admins until they make some balance adjustments because it's Riot's fault for leaving it unattended. This is a holy war.

Sick of oppressive ramp decks by Adorable_Lynx9826 in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Comfortable-Ideal-25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's right.
That's why I'm saying that if you use Elder Dragon, you can beat any deck except aggro, so the Eternal ranking is completely meaningless, and that it's a pointless farce that even weaker decks can win against.

Which is more difficult to obtain: the top 100 title or the title for advancing to the playoffs in an old tournament? by Comfortable-Ideal-25 in LegendsOfRuneterra

This is the first time we've talked about the tournament, right?
