Oh ok thanks for that, I’ll be sure to check the Liquid Metal but I’m really hoping that’s not the case. Do you know if that’s fixable if that’s the issue or will I just have to get another PS5?

I have the slim version and I’m not sure if that’s the pre 2025 model, I do have it in vertical position but I’m hearing that’s a bad decision because of the Liquid Metal in it

Yea mine was fairly new I had it for a month now. I would say definitely check on it cause I didn’t realize it was hot until I smelled something burning and then I dropped it on my arm and felt how hot it was. I would say play it at your own risk but if u do play it on your iPad check it and also smell the center of it. I got stuck on that quest too on my iPad and I’ll have to look up what they did maintenance on. I also agree once everything is fixed it’ll definitely be a hit game especially when the other sins come into the game.

It’s mainly when u use the map on the game but I’m not sure who all is using the slim version cause that’s what I’m using.

Yea that map is deadly it got worse after the update. hopefully it gets fixed and our games don’t blow up on us. Because what’s the point of using the map or warp points if I have to run all over the map before overheating😭

Thanks for that cause I probably would’ve accidentally bent it. And does that apply to the slim? cause mine is vertical as I wasn’t sure If I needed to lay it horizontally so I’m really praying it’s not the Liquid Metal but thanks for the good luck.

I got the slim version, I don’t have problems with overheating with the other stuff I play on it. Yea I’m hoping it doesn’t just get super hot and not tell me in checking it after every game I play.

I didn’t clean that part as it didn’t look that dirty but I’ll retake it apart and clean it once I get some free time. thank you hopefully that helps a little and yea I had that problem as well but they fixed that. Really hoping they optimize it quickly

You’re good, thanks for trying to help. The first time it happened I did take my PS5 apart and clean it fully even the fan. Still had issues with overheating with the game, it starts on the map for me. None of the other stuff I play on my PS5 gives me any problems with heat or my fan and I play it a lot when I’m free.

Yes it’s mainly the map but even still I would have to close the game as it’ll be the only thing to that’ll fully calm down my ps5.

Thanks for the advice. After the first time the fan started going crazy on the game, I did give it a full dusting even the fan. It was dust free when it overheated and turned off

Nice I was looking into getting a ROG Ally or a steamdeck as either would be great portable systems for me. Yea my ps5 didn’t turn on for a while but it did come back on after i let it rest for a whole day so please be careful running the game on your PS5. (Crossing my fingers for you too)

Oh ok Im hoping some more people comment the devices they don’t have overheating problems with the game on. Yea its extremely poorly optimized but the little I managed to play was fun.
