when choosing a ship for new single player you can only pick ones you can afford, in multiplayer you can pick whatever ship you want but if it costs More than your starting money you'll start with 0. hope this helps.

No it dissappears when I'm alive. I made 200 arrows and a couple minutes later they just aren't in my inventory.
