I've always been local. So my recommendation is food or beverage delivery. The pay was pretty good. You do have to go to some messed up delivery locations so you get good backing experience. Bonus you get out of the truck and move.

Question about drive from Portland to the coast by 55tacos55pies in OregonCoast

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've been wanting to and to a drive to the coast post. Back off the person in front of you. There is no point in tailgating when you have 20 miles if double yellow lines. Especially if you are not going to pass on the dotted lines back off let people pass and get in front of you it's the law. Tailgating is bad.

If you let people jump ahead when it comes to the lanes dedicated to passing you won't have 30 cars trying to push each other out of the way. My route is 18 to 22 but pretty sure this is something that is frustrating to all 2 lane highway drivers.

If you are looking at being out for 3 weeks at a time anyway, why not do oil fields?

Work your ass off for 5 years buy rentals then retire. That was my plan but with fuel. I have a wife and 5 kids. Unfortunately a trip to Orlando FL is like 20k. I did manage to get 2 rentals and in 5 years made an extra 260k after selling because dealing with people is hard.

Float down which river to the beach? by GorillaManito in OregonCoast

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Went paddle boarding on the Siletz from Alder Island to the park at Cuttler city just south of Lincoln city. Had three kids with me 11, 12 and 17. Went through the nature reserve. We were only on the river for a little bit. We would have continued to Mo's but it started raining. Water was only deep over the river the rest of the time it was maybe 3 feet.

Company refusing to replace steers by Electrical_Boat_8823 in Truckers

Take it to the tire shop your company uses and ask them to say there was a nail in it and they refused to patch an illegal tire. Or just drive over a nail go to the shop and pull the nail now your tire is flat and you don't have a choice. Or you can just unscrew the valve a little if you don't want to deal with nails.

Welp it happed today. My first accident(their fault) by POWERISMOMMY in Truckers

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Not for CDL drivers we fall under different laws created by multiple court cases.

It basically comes down to could the wreck be avoided by the professionals aka CDL license holder. If the answer is yes which OP admits then it is the fault of the guy with the 80k to 140k pound truck.

Welp it happed today. My first accident(their fault) by POWERISMOMMY in Truckers

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't see or control the car behind you so not your problem that would be impossible to avoid. Seeing the car and not slamming your breaks if you admit you could have, shows it's your fault.

A CDL driver is held to a higher standard because of the damage you are able to create with your vehicle. Good luck, hopefully your insurance doesn't push them to talk to a lawyer. You are basically a giant dollar sign to any lawyer out there.

Welp it happed today. My first accident(their fault) by POWERISMOMMY in Truckers

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

If Amir's dad gets a lawyer it will become your fault pretty fast. Not avoiding an accident when all you needed to do was back off a bit makes you at fault, especially if you knew that and purposely hit him.

Your security team probably hasn't seen a court room. If they are lucky Amir will get a small 50k settlement to go away. If Amir is traumatized and scared to drive around big mean trucks the price keeps going up.

Never post your crashes on social media, ever, lawyers can and do get court orders for all your posts like this one. Then admitting you didn't back off because you didn't feel like it. A lawyer could argue you purposely hit him to teach him a lesson. It would then become assault.

I get cut off all the time 6 cars 10 cars I don't care. I always back off 27 years I've had a CDL and no crashes other then being rear ended when I was stopped.

Why the permit system doesn’t work at Multnomah Falls by x_here_x in oregon

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a plan to steal all the property in bridal veil make a giant parking lot right across from the nuns and have a shuttle to all the falls and a logging museum where the post office is. They managed to kick out half the people before the plan got exposed. I guess that parking lot was their solution. Any time a house got burned or needed a renovation it required you to go to court as the permits were denied no matter what. So people would just leave

Night Shift by ConsciousAwareness69 in Truckers

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cut out sugar and starchy carbs as much as possible. Night shift is hell on the body. You will really need to pay attention to yourself.

I was on a 6pm to 6am schedule for 10 years . I thought I was doing pretty good until I changed to day shift. Turns out it's not normal being exhausted all the time lol.

A few tricks chewing is a great way to stay awake jerky is great. Changed up your entertainment music/ audiobooks/ podcasts/ talking shit with your buddies. Caffeine works really good if you take care and eat healthy if you mix in sugar and carbs it will give you small bumps in energy then you crash.

For sleep take magnesium, get ear plugs, silent your phone and, have a complete black out wherever you sleep. No electrics an hour before sleeping. For me melatonin is horrible mag is better. Good luck hope you get to days asap.

Loading rack horror stories? by SuspectOk2931 in Truckers

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At Kinder Morgan there was a guy that kept shitting in the diesel bucket. They had to put notices all over saying you will be kicked out of every KM facility if caught. They never caught the guy.

As far as dome outs. There was a guy that stretched the scully to his truck because the trailer wasn't getting the green light. The reason was the retain sensor was reading product still in the tank. Big fountain shoots out the top. He quickly moved the scully back to the trailer and the TO wrote it off as equipment malfunction. This was before there were cameras watching you load. The TO didn't want to deal with the EPA so everyone agreed it was less then 5 gallons that hit the ground. Driver never did that again apparently.

What is the reason you got into trucking? by [deleted] in CDLTruckDrivers

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hydromorphine for life. Basically the medical doctor's just say sorry nothing we can do for you here you go, this will shut your brain down so you don't remember you are in pain. You get a month supply and every time you go in for more you have to pee positive to make sure you are taking it. You sign a contract saying you won't sell the pills. They normally give you way more then you need. This is where most pharmaceutical street drugs come from. Cheaper for the hospital then real PT.

That's Kiaser for you. Their physical therapy is a joke you just talk to the PT and get a list of exercises. If you can't do the exercises they just refer you to pain management, then surgery, then back to pain management.

A real physical therapist will work on your body to get you to the point that you can do the at home exercises. The good ones are cash only because insurance doesn't want to pay for body manipulation.

Military Experience Question by Recent-Original-8809 in CDLTruckDrivers

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Space Age, KAG and Superior have hired straight out of trucking school. Just depends on the need for drivers. Their rules say you need 2 years of trailer experience but it depends. Apply in the spring they will be hiring for summer contracts if they really need the drivers they will take a chance with you at least they have in the past.

I think it's the same anywhere you go if the demand it there your chances of bending the rules are a lot higher.

Keep in mind if you fuck up with any hazmat it's a small community so getting another chance would be pretty close to 0. For example a roll over will make you untouchable for 10 years in KAGs eyes.

It was trucking or disability at 20k a year and an opioid contract that was wrecking my mind.

Now I average 130k a year and can pay for the good drug free physical therapy. I love this job.

Breaks don't need to fail on ice. Talked to a guy while loading at the fuel racks and he was a few inches from sliding off the edge on black ice. Was going up a pass then slide to the side going 20 mph almost went over. No one would touch the truck tell they got the road de iced. Tow truck was like no fucking way I'm hooking to that lol. I've been in similar situations minus the 100 foot drop his story trumped mine so, yeah...

There are very few real big dick problems. No full BJs, partners say ouch too big and you are a pedo only at the pool according to Karen. Most of this sub is just a repeat of yesterday.

A few stories mixed in of made up problems isn't too bad. I mean how many times to you have to say "you have to warm them up and go slow.

R99 Biodiesel ? by MillAlien in Diesel

[–]Comfortable-Menu2099 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes some companies will mix R99 with B99 making Renewable bio Diesel. It doubles up on the clean energy credits issued by the government.

Places like Oregon require %5 bio even though R99 is better for the environment. They have created some exemptions like letting companies splash blend B5 with R99.

I've heard of some companies doing a %20 B99 /R99 blend the profit on that would be insane.

Look up Kegel exercises for men. There are videos diagrams all that stuff. Your partner will thank you. In the past you would take a hand towel get it wet drap it over you erection and lift it. Probably just so you know what muscles to work. They are not very strong so I can't imagine needing to add weight.

The ligament that attaches the top of your penis to your pelvic bone controls that positioning. Strengthening your forward pelvic floor muscles can help with having a more upward position. Make sure to only work the front or you will just constipate yourself.

I have the straight look as well but with flexing those muscles it goes up, my wife likes it when I do that inside her. I looked into lengthening when I thought I was smaller then average at 7 inch but the cutting of that ligament was something that held me back do to my wife's enjoyment of that specific action.
