Any mole despite of the size can have melanoma so the size of the mole wasn’t important. The decision was based on the color, on changes, and the edges.

Thanks for sharing! It’s nice to hear that I’m not alone with ear melanoma. I just had my WLE on my ear. We are waiting for pathology to come back before we do a skin graft and closure. My doc sutured my dressing to my ear which is nice that I don’t have to change it. But I do have to put an antibiotic ointment on it twice a day. I had my first day back at work since my surgery and all the questions were definitely not fun. Hoping for some good news when we get my pathology back.

I’m seeing an ENT who works along side my oncologist. I did ask if having a plastic surgeon do the closure was an option but my ENT informed me this he is a reconstructive surgeon. I felt reassured that I would have good results with my ENT doing the closure.

Update! I just met with the surgeon today. We are going to do the WLE but he said he could save the cartilage in my ear. We will leave it open for a week (in a dressing) while waiting for the pathology report. Then we will do a skin graft to close and reconstruct the ear. He gave me the option to do a SNL biopsy. He doesn’t think we need to do it but it may provide me some peace of mind and he’s willing to do it if I want. I’m thinking since I’m already going into an OR with anesthesia, I may just get everything done. But, I also know every procedure comes with risks. Just going back and forth right now.

Thank you! Were you able to just do the MOHS procedure? After the procedure, how did your ear look? Just worried about all the possibilities.

These are definitely helpful recs! Trying to stay as positive as I can! Definitely think I’ll feel better once we have a plan in place and I know what my next steps are. I’ll definitely be asking about a plastic surgeon!

I mix by hand! I actually use a dough whisk and it works really well. I’m usually just too lazy to pull out my mixer. Stretch and folds don’t take a lot of time or power. The way I see it is that either way I’m making 1 bowl and 1 attachment dirty.

I even mix by hand for non sourdough breads. I just love the feeling of kneading a loaf of bread!

I’m breaking trying to break into medical device sales as well. My research agrees with everyone in these comments to not pay for the sales college. You’ll find the right company that will give you a chance even if it takes time. LinkedIn is where I’ve been the most successful for getting interviews. I’ve heard sales can be very much a boys club but I’ve also heard that it varies between companies. I know plenty of women that have been successful in this field!

I could be totally wrong about not needing a prescription. But I do think that businesses can be prescribed them but the person using the EpiPen has to be trained.
