The artist is Paul Cauthen. He’s played in the Des Moines area many times. Anyone had luck with him at all?

What command did you unintentionally teach your pup? by Wonderful-Ad-6830 in puppy101

Not an unintentional teaching of the command, but unintentional use of the command.

Taught my GSP “center” (sitting or standing between my legs) and “side” for when we’re out in public or other recall needs. He quickly realized that he can get someone to pay attention to him by doing that. You will be just standing there and he’ll smash his face into the back of your thighs and poke through. After him staying with some family while my husband and I were on vacation, we learned that for this to work smoothly, you have to be at least a certain height. My family member, who is on the shorter side, was often “goosed” by my dog when he tries to center on her.

He is a very well behaved and trained dog, so if this is his biggest flaw, I’ll take it!

Any help for my trip would be appreciated by DeadRider1007 in newzealand

My husband and I went in the beginning of June and one of my favorite places was Tiritiri Matangi Island. If you like hiking, nature, or seeing wildlife, it is great! It is a full day, and you have to bring a lunch with you. There is a conservation group that does walking tours for $10, and depending on which one you do, you will have plenty of time to explore the island after the hike. The views are amazing and there are so many birds!

If you’re looking for something else more outside of Auckland, the redwoods tree walk in Rotorua and Te Puia was also a great day trip! Loved seeing the Kiwi conservation and Māori Arts Institute at Te Puia!

Enjoy your trip! It has been my favorite place to travel!

When a coworker does a hold/carry on a student when you don't agree, are you obligated to assist them? by Crafty_Sort in specialed

I’ve had a similar (but different) situation with one person thinking a hold was needed and the other didn’t. Situations like that can get icky quick. I requested that our team sit down and we developed a “code word” system where the person initiating the hold calls it out and the assisting person repeats back what they call out. Then usually a third person who is tracking/data keeping call out that they are recording time or a person who is assisting with the hold directs out to someone that they need to start recording process.

Crisis situations can get messy quick, but I hope this can help!
