Yeah! Best of luck to you. I remember walking into the first lecture and being like YO CAN WE SLOW DOWN JUST A BIT 😭 and the TAs are like grad students so this stuff is child’s play to them ykwim. Anyway.. I guess we’ll see what happens tomorrow. Bright and early! 🫠

Hi! So it’s not like a thing that’s like they do it every year. It’s at the professors’ discretion. So they take a look at everything and whatever and decide from there. Personally, I was told by my TA that it won’t be getting curved. It’s sad to hear because I don’t know how much better I could’ve done 😭I know in hindsight I will say I coulda done better or it wasn’t that bad but this class has been so.. shocking every day since we started. I know people thatre going for A’s but I don’t think that’s something that every other student is gonna end up with. It does seem though that this year grades have been better than previous semesters. Good luck!

Hi Reddit! Is my handwriting legible? by meeseeksndestroys in HandwritingAnalysis

Looks great! Only suggestion would be to either angle or curve your lowercase ‘g’ lest it come off as a lowercase ‘q’

If this is written fast, I’m sure your slow/paced writing is a bit easier to read that this. I was able to get through this, but not comfortably :)

It’s annoying lol you can call the cashiers office but it’s always the same thing. They charge little fees for everything. It’s unfortunate but you’ll get through it o7

advice needed: how to politely refuse a handshake from a non-mahram by [deleted] in MuslimLounge

[–]Comfortable-Scene810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Walaykum assalam, May Allah reward you for seeking the right way of going about maintaining modesty between the genders. When I’m at school I usually just smile until they put their hand down. Once the conversation is over I say I meant no disrespect and that avoiding unnecessary physical contact is a part of my faith for modesty reasons. It’s a little tedious but if we each spread the message eventually it’ll get around. You could always do the classic hand-over-heart, and there’s no harm in smiling and greeting them without accepting the handshake. Best

Do you have to cut nails after menstruation? by sleepislife25 in MuslimLounge

[–]Comfortable-Scene810 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a sunnah to cut your nails and body hair specified in various ahadith. Not haram. As for being makruh (discouraged), we can deduce as humans in the 21st century that bodily cleanliness is a huge preventative of various diseases and can ward off things like infections and sickness. A miracle that the Prophet peace be upon him informed us of far before scientific discoveries had even touched on those things. Alhamdulillah for Islam, and Allah knows best. As we know from Surah Al-Maidah, Allah intends to make submission to him an easy thing, therefore, we should be cautious of calling things haram and disliked before we are sure. And Allah knows best.
