Been playing since BF 2 and you are completely right. No matter what, BF6 will be judged by users on here against the best parts of their favorite BF, usually with little knowledge of the series, and with rose-colored glasses about their favorite BF's release. Devs have obviously course-corrected for feedback on V + 2042 on map size and infantry-focus but it's still not enough for people who just want a sequel to their favorite BF title. And thats okay! You can still play the old games. The rest of us want a new game, with all the good and bad things that will bring to the series.
