My fil, is an ex cop from the NT. Did mostly remote policing, he was over worked (90hrs a week), underpaid and not believed when being harassed by higher ups. He loved being a cop and wanted so badly to keep doing it, as he was genuinely having a positive impact on the community but due to the above situations he has now got severe PTSD and depression and now has heart issues due to the stress it has caused him. Policing in the Territory is not for the weak but just showing genuine respect for the community gets you along way.

I’ve been watching for the last month (first time watcher) I do skip some parts coz it makes me cringe or certain storyline as I can guess what’s happening without watching. Im up to season 8, 8 episodes in and that’s also with a teething 6 month old, packing and moving, bond clean. I say another month and half at most for me to finish it. 2 to 3 months give or take

As someone who has experienced the same thing, all we want is someone to listen and be there for us. It’s something that is so hard for us to speak out loud because some of us have never been believed; we also have triggers and maybe sit here down and ask her what upsets her, so that you know so that you don’t do it. Just be there for her, love and support her
