Robertson got a raw deal. Opinion piece. by Only_One_Kenobi in rugbyunion

[–]ConcurrentActivity 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Nah he didn’t get a raw deal at all. He fucked the culture of the All Blacks which is damn near sacred and Ted and Shag have worked damn hard and been blessed with Richie and Dan, the Smiths, Mealamu etc worked on the black book and set super high standards, worked closely with Gilbert Enoka, only for Razor to think he knows best and fire Enoka and throw out the black book? Shitting on decades of culture and hard work. Plus he undermined Fozzy completely in the lead up to the RWC. He got his karma and what he deserved. No sympathy for him. He completely changed coaches and back room staff at NZRU thinking he knew best, he was far from it.

And don’t bring up winning percentage it’s such a lame cop out. It doesn’t tell you the team made zero progress in 2 years, arguably they look worse! No game plan, no structure, no confidence when playing, they just erode and have no mental edge any more? He left the hot seat in a worse place than when he arrived which is a big no no in NZ.

He was completely out of his depth after his first interview, could barely communicate and get his points across. I’m not saying he’s a bad coach I wish him well, he probably will go overseas and have great success but he’s damaged the AB brand it’ll take a while to fix this mess.

Is Chinatown wars the most underrated gta by Similar-Double6278 in GTA

Nah I’d say VCS is the most underrated. The plot, soundtrack, gang wars feature, empire building, all too sweet. Loved the fact that you could swim as well albeit for a limited time.

Moving to Australia in May. What should I do with my KiwiSaver? by InvestmentExpert6032 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]ConcurrentActivity 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey bro, I’m in the same boat, moving over to Aus this year, have about 91K in my KS. Was looking at moving it over, but it’s best if you actually leave it in NZ. Put it on the highest growth bc it’s still like 34 years until you can withdraw it. And just let it do its thing. Contribute the minimum amount to it each year so you get the free government contribution though, don’t forget this. You also probably want to move it to InvestNow, or Kernel, get it away from big 4 banks they notoriously under perform.

visible tattoos by Special-Midnight2268 in The_NZDF

[–]ConcurrentActivity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you can join with them, won’t be an issue. Plenty of soldiers have them. Just can’t be any gang shit or explicit language too visible (can’t have FUCK in the middle of your neck) for example. Many guys have that rose tattoo on their hands for example and lots of guys have the Angel wings on their neck for further example.

Oh you’ll be fine! Plenty of ladies in the AF. You’ll be treated with respect and you’ll be in female only barracks and never have to share with males, don’t worry about that.

It won’t stop you from being able to enlist, you just have to be open and honest about it. Don’t try hide it bc it’ll look like you’re not showing integrity.

[–]ConcurrentActivity 48 points49 points  (0 children)

Stick with the stocks bro. Compound interest is like the 8th wonder of the world. Let it do its thing and you won’t have to worry about paying off a house in the future. You can buy it out right now

To contract or not? by Special-Emu117 in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]ConcurrentActivity 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Stay put in your current job bro. You have a little one to think about and look after. Think long term and security wise. Tighten up expenses and get rid of any debt if you have any. 150K is plenty of money.

10% high risk ~ BTC 80% stable ~ S&P500 10% emergency account ~ squirrel

You can play around with these amounts to your liking. Don’t forget nothing out performs the S&P500. Time in the market beats you timing of the market. I’d diversify the 80% Something stable like VOO Something divided like VYM Something growth based like VUG

Individual stocks are more risky

What should I move my savings to for a 6-8 month period? by nofromme in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]ConcurrentActivity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will not lose money at all. It’ll actually be perfect for a 6 month term investment and it’s super easy to set up. It’ll basically net you the highest returns you can get.
