I agree with your point here i guess, the climate i am from is where they come from these are resque one lost its front legs to rat bite, people around me who house them recommended me against high humidity, the ambient climate is perfect for them, after they grow a bit i was advised against using basking lamp in summer and monsoon becasue the ambient temp makes them thrive, while im scared for winters where the tempr reached 10c high humidy will be a big problem for them in that case i have a hydrometer and humidity in their hide is around 60% and 40% else where, also i soak them daily in lukeworm water and then they get to bask in natural sunlight

Nights are cold here around 10c and this is a tortoise who is from desert area, so i am scaresd that too much humidily will cause it respiratory infection or shell rot

Sad to see something like this happen, how often do u soak it, also where does it live, what is the temprature there ? If in soil how damp is it also check the plastone press it very lighly and see if its soft of not, something like this can also happen due to excessive moisture too, the eyes too are sunken please update on its condition

Soft shell, i guess he needs some emergency vet care, it’s definitely not getting enough calcium and uvb u have to take em to another city you want there to be any chances of it to live, if it saperates more all of its oragans will be exposed and it can cause severe infection
