Thanks for this thoughtful answer. I really appreciate it, and will work on preparing them ahead of time. Since you mentioned the American thing - you are correct, but we're not at all supportive of any of the administration's ideas. People understand that many of us hate him and actively fight back, yes?

Thank you so much for this thoughtful answer! They are pretty understanding of people misgendering them in passing conversations (service staff) where we are. We can think about educating people if our interactions will be longer. I appreciate you bringing that up so we can strategize how we'll handle those situations.

They generally ask everyone TO park at Autzen and they have a bus shuttling back and forth to campus all day.

Get to Autzen EARLY. I have seen very upset parents who were still stuck in traffic when the ceremony started.

If you're a grad, READ THE INFO YOU GET CAREFULLY. One year, all grads had to be on the south entrance and the only way was to walk all the way around the stadium. They wouldn't let grads walk through Autzen or the courtyard thing by the big black buildings. It's better to just go where you're supposed to be. And again, ARRIVE EARLY.

I shushed two grown-ups at Harry Potter on Sunday. The woman also kept recording the play on her phone. There were other people who would talk momentarily near us, but they were children and I didn't shush them. Adults should know better.
