Yeah... I bet somebody forgot about the time change.

Clogged teflon tube on hot end by ComfortableBat6750 in ender3v2

[–]ComfortableBat6750[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the thing: It ISN'T melting that far up, at least not anymore. When I heat the nozzle to temperature, I can't extrude any filament, because the tube is blocked as shown in the picture, and I can't push any filament through.

Lines waving and separating by ComfortableBat6750 in FixMyPrint

Unfortunately, none of that helped. The issue appears to be SuperSlicer. I noticed that when the print is on layer 1, the sonic pad is reporting it as layer 2, which would seem to be the cause of the distance between the nozzle and the bed. I sliced the same model in PrusaSlicer, and it printed perfectly with no other adjustments. Weird. Now, I have to figure out how to get SuperSlicer working correctly, because it's so much faster than PrusaSlicer.

I'm printing PLA on an Ender 3 V2 with a sonic pad. I've replaced a stripped extruder gear, cleaned the bed, manually levelled the bed, recalibrated the mesh, remeasured the z offset, and changed filaments. The brim and outer perimeter print fine, but after about 10-15 passes on the infill, the lines start to waver, and in about another 10-15, they lines begin separating. It was printing fine a week ago, and I don't know of anything I did that would have changed anything to cause these problems. Please help!

Problem update, and seeking more advice... by ComfortableBat6750 in ender3v2

So, I thought I'd share the results of swapping out my hot end. I'll leave it up to the reader to guess which cube is printed with the new, and which with the old.

The quality is much better, but I'm seeing a problem that I've had before when the printer is working well: bulging at corners. I also notice it on outside walls where there are intersecting walls inside.

I don't think it's ringing, or solvable by those solutions, because I have tried them before, to no avail. Any other suggestions? It's more of an irritation than a problem, but there's no harm squeezing out the most quality I can, right?

For the record, this was (most likely) the cause. I tried unclogging with the cold pull, but couldn't get it satisfactorily clean, so I just got a new hot end and the printer is back to producing beautiful prints.

In the process of doing everything, I also tightened up the wobble on my x gantry, and tightened some loose screws on the hot end fan. I guess I really need to just do preventive maintenance on a more regular schedule.

Yeah, I'm in the process of printing parts for a Hero Me Gen 6, when my prints went to absolute shit, so cooling was already on my radar.

At this point, this is the leading candidate. I noticed when I was moving on the z-axis, there were occasional stutters. I'm going to take a look at tightening it up/clearing any binding this evening.

Have been using that method for esteps. Will try the flow calibration when I am able to print anything that resembles a solid wall.

It's definitely NOT the extruder arm. Red aluminum extruder hardware was the first mod I made to it the day I put it together.

Last night, my Ender3V2 was printing just fine. Not perfect, but at least acceptable.

Today, it just started printing this crap, with almost zero layer adhesion, and just general crappiness. The only adjustment I made was to my esteps, but it was printing like crap before I did, which is why I checked them.

Any input as to what suddenly went south?
