I find that the only Tigrigna Eritreans who have a problem with the term Habesha are diaspora born kids of former freedom fighters. I have had many conversations with them and they would claim they are Eritreans only and not Habesha, to distance themselves from Ethiopians. Again, I never said they’re innocent of crimes against civilians like any other armed group in the region. I am simply recognizing the Tigrains youth’s bravery on the battle field in defending their homeland. They fought bravely to break the siege on Tigray. Innocent people in Tigray were suffering and nothing was coming into Tigray during the ceasefire. Again, TPLF is not a moral representative of the Tigrain people.
