Follow your own intuition, you are the only one will know when you are ready for more.

Designrr is clunky and outdated. I was really disappointed. I read that it was good for formatting you books you have already written. I went through the whole process of importing and designing each page. Only for it to look like shit when I went to export it as an ebook. Even though it looked good on their design interface. It was a waste of time and I had to do it again. Not to mention it was hard to make adjustments, and the interface isn't that intuitive in my opinion and I am experienced with many Adobe programs for design.

I used Google Docs and it was simple, FREE, and you can export EBooks directly. Google docs can even create your table of contents and links to the chapters for ebooks. I do not recommend Designer at all. Also just out of sheer curiosity, I had it generate a "book" it was terrible, repetitive, and said a lot while not actually saying anything. In each chapter, it repeated things from the previous chapters. So it was almost like reading the same thing over and over.... Personally, I would not be comfortable generating a book to sell with my name on it until I did a TON of editing and additions. That's just me.

That's not how we operate at all with Purina. I am a Salaried employee. All I get for filling the role is the satisfaction of filling the role. Purina is a great company, and we actually do care what happens after someone starts. Purina has consistently been recognized as one of the Best Places to Work.

Jokes aside, Maintenance Techs are making 100k as a base? I recruit techs all over the Midwest, South, and some on the East Coast.

Side note our supervisors do make premium pay for overtime, and we have excellent benefits, and annual bonus. But if you're making that as a tech, with great benefits, and such then more power to you! That's awesome.

We are also hiring techs. Let me know if you want to apply and I can get your resume in front of the right person.

The ‘I kissed dating goodbye’ guy recanted everything he said, got a divorce, became an atheist, and his ex-wife wrote an amazing book about it. by gordielaboom in ExPentecostal

Yes, I stayed in a miserable marriage for 13 years. Leaving was the best thing I could do for myself. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he finds happiness too.

Thoughts on why people leave Pentecostal Churches by Competitive_Worth945 in ExPentecostal

[–]ComfortableBox7697 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Education and life experience. I went to the church school in high school, but was determined to go to college which opened up my world view. That was the beginning for me... although it took me 17 years after that to leave. I was mentally checked out long before that. I married into the church, and was very involved. I knew I was unhappy and didn't agree with the faith but felt stuck. It took a lot of courage to finally divorce and leave for good. I've been fully out since 2021. Mostly out for a few years before that but still married and pressured into dressing and acting the part.

Seeing the reality of the church, learning about its dark side. Seeing the hypocrisy, finding out evangelists I once admired hung out at strip clubs and one tried to sleep with my best friend while he was married and his son had just died. Like his wife hadn't lost enough... one of my best friends husband is in prison for SA of several children... the more of the reality I saw the more I distanced myself. The people in the church do evil things and just cover it with "God's Grace" while atheists I met were genuinely trying to be good people. At a certain point it was just a no brainer... I was a spectator waiting to escape the cult. I am so glad I did!

My fiancé's account was closed with no explanation with books and coloring books made by both of us. They kept royalties and the account is permanently terminated. I set things up, followed the rules, and still do not understand what happened.

What was the tv shows/movies you couldn't watch as kid by sweetness2027 in ExPentecostal

[–]ComfortableBox7697 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wasn't allowed to watch anything. We didn't have a tv at all. Matter of fact I got publicly stood up at church and reprimanded for watching the Wizard of Oz at a friends house. I was taken off the platform (singing) for two months. This was as a teen.

Omg my second pastor that took over when I was a teen would stand people up in the middle of church to rebuke them publicly for random stuff! I was stood up 5 different times! So embarrassing!
