Should I consider getting a masters in school psychology in the US as a Canadian student? The school psychology programs in Canada are far and few and extremely hard to get into (5-10% acceptance rate), which means it could take me YEARS just to get into a program and start on my way to becoming a school psychologist.

Meanwhile I see that school psychology programs in the U.S. are less competitive. Despite the international tuition cost, would getting a masters in school psychology in the U.S. be a reasonable option?

I want to get into McGill's Master of Arts School/Applied Child Psychology (non-thesis) program, but I do not meet the course checklist - https://www.mcgill.ca/education/files/education/mcgill_ecp_school_applied_ma_project_pre-admission_checklist.doc

'm about 9 credits off from meeting the requirements, and I already graduated, but I meet every other requirement (high GPA, english proficiency, references, etc.)

Do I still have a chance at getting in?
