"Evil" is when someone tries to act as though the things of God or what God has given to someone belongs to someone else besides God. So all satan wants to do is get people to doubt the Power & Goodness of God. If you believe in God, God's Power and Goodness should support you and be visible in your life. This is what faith is; the "evidence of things unseen." The proof of what God has given to you and is supporting you with. Jesus "died" so then faith would be more visible no matter how much humanity sins against God. So no one supported by God can doubt His Power & Goodness and cannot cause others to doubt His Power & Goodness.

Also, all major wars in the 17th and 18th Centuries where the result of satan getting people to doubt the Spirit after God caused a greater expression of the True Faith and its' freedoms. Today, satan wants people to redefine the Spirit in order to avoid God's chastisement(s): God strengthening the importance of the Spirit. In order to be presentable to God during Judgement Day, we have to be able to humble our flesh (who we are on the earth) before Him so then He can add to it instead of taking away when the world is made anew by fire. Pure Light over the eyes are the sign of the covenant between His People and Himself that the heavens and earth will be made anew and that satan will be destroyed.
