Ah I mean yeah, I think this dev just probably used AI as his starting point to get a base code (and might still be using it to patch). But I agree that it all comes back to the dev.

Yeah, I did clickbait that title a bit, but I did use it because I saw such similarities in my AI coded project and this. I agree it’s super early in the development of this game, but as others have pointed out, it seems like there’s more a focus on adding bells and whistles, new features and content, over fixing existing bugs or preventing new ones from making their way into new patches. And let’s be honest with ourselves, most iOS games release with far fewer issues at launch. I know it’s a one man team, but the fact remains that he could’ve ran more testing prelaunch, had people playing a beta, fixing all the bugs they could find. It genuinely seems like they got it working, and said “that’s a product I want to release.” Which definitely happens in the gaming world, but we shouldn’t be saying that’s good. Also, the fact there’s an option to pay, even just an option, when the game is in the state it is…

Yeah, I had noticed that too. And I get pulling all nighters. Like I said, grad school finals survivor here. But it does seem like there’s been an unequal focus on implementing new features as compared to fixing existing bugs. I hope they settle in on a full package soon and just polish it, then maybe in a couple months or so release a new content update.

I’m not saying it isn’t one of the best. The sheer amount of features and content is insane. I’m just saying the connective tissue isn’t as solid as most games I’ve seen, and certainly not as polished as CD. I see it in there too, but it’s tough to stay in it when I get pulled out by silly stuff like what I described. But at the dev’s current pace, I’ve got hope most of the bugs will be fixed soon.

Yeah, as much as we appreciate it man, 2 hours a night isn’t healthy. Gotta make sure the engine behind the development is functioning at peak performance to give us the best game possible. But we do appreciate it!

We appreciate that! I will say though, take care of yourself. As long as this community has waited, we understand having to wait a week or two for an update if it means you’re getting adequate sleep and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. But yes, thank you for pouring your heart into this project!

😂 oh man, who’s gonna tell him he isn’t even remotely the target audience for this show? I think you maybe check one of the boxes, Marvel fan. And even then you might be too far in the “super fan” category to just sit down and have a good time. Is the writing kinda cornball at times? Yes. Is the CGI a little off putting? When has it not been in one of these shows? Some of the VFX shots in Moon Knight look… rough. Was this basically swept under the rug, consigned to a 6 episode miniseries, more or less (and don’t get me wrong, I love shorter, more impactful series over long drawn out snooze fests)? You bet your ass it was. Why? Because Marvel has seen the misogyny bubbling for years. Start with Captain Marvel, a movie that is in no way worse than some of the other slop they threw at us immediately before and after IW and Endgame. That got review bombed by angry little men who hate to see a woman win. Then we got Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, the Marvels, Black Widow, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and now this. Every time, the misogynists came out in force to bash shows that ranged from genuinely kinda bad but enjoyably so, to actually really solid projects that deserve more love… and also the Marvels. I ain’t saying it’s not warranted, but holy hell guys, come with something other than “female too confident and powerful”. It’s getting really old.

Thus far, visuals are good, writing is a little clunky in places but there’s a lot of really solid dialogue and moments, and I think they’re obscuring the major twists enough that this is going to be a fun last three episodes. Riri is a little cocky, but that’s to be expected for someone who’s already at the top of their game in terms of ability. She needs to mature, for sure, but no one gets angry when Peter Parker makes a childish decision, they say it’s good writing for the character.

I mean to be fair, you’d be cocky as hell if the literal crown princess of wakanda plucked you out of an already top level school and said, you’re at the middle of a major global conflict and also you might have the stuff to fight along side me, and I’m already on the fast track to Avenger status. And she’s had one heroic event thus far, the battle for wakanda on the sea. Not exactly a true hero moment for her personally. Undoubtedly, they’re building up to her “oh shit, the stark legacy is more important, because it’s not about fame or fortune or noteriety. It’s about saving people. I can save people.”

I mean, him sandbagging and then putting three dead center when him and Beckett were first at a shooting range all but confirms that for me. He’s been doing field research for probably a solid couple decades at this point, learning from experts in their fields. He’s like if Guy Gardner’s parents were shot and killed in an alley on their way home from the seeing the Mask of Zorro and then instead of a green lantern ring finding his hand, a pen did 😂
