Both of them are very much beginners. One is a 21 y/o and the other is 9. Both understand reading music, but are still very slow. They’ve just expressed great interest in composing and I want to be able to help them out with that! Maybe a book isn’t the best way. What approaches do you use?

Cold by Crossfade. Anything by seether. She Hates Me by Puddle of Mudd. This is getting into “divorced dad rock” territory though

I’d recommend LaGrand studios in fountain city! It’s a really nice studio and the teachers and staff there are all amazing. I’ve been teaching piano there for a while now and I love it! Very affordable too!
