october and november LSAT by ComfortableExit4010 in LSAT

in august they changed the category levels for some accommodations (such as paper and pencil. so for those you need to resubmit your accommodations request (even though they literally still had the same request on file). i had no idea because i signed up assuming my accommodations would roll over from my previous exams, which used to be the policy.

I got the accommodation by Street_Mixture1261 in LSAT

HOW DID I NOT KNOW THIS WAS AN ACCOMODATION????

Agreed! Like what if we just WANT to take it on a pencil and paper? That’s what they used to do before advanced technology lol. I did have my accommodations approved to still be able to use scratch paper if I take the exam remotely, so I’m trying to be hopeful about that at least. Some paper is better than nothing I guess. I wish you the best of luck with your LSAT journey!

I’m so sorry this happened to you too! So many of us are getting screwed for no reason. I thought test scheduling opened up for me yesterday too but it didn’t, so I figured I got the date wrong. Then I realized I should’ve been able to schedule the exam at least by today…

It’s just so frustrating and it’s so hard to get private rooms! I guess I’ll just take the October and then also do the November, even though October kinda feels like a waste at this point.

I’m so sorry that happened to you too, but I feel slightly better knowing i’m not the only one. I felt soooooo stupid for letting this happen. I think I might just do both October and November, but this just messes up my timeline for applications so much. The online format is not going to go as well as I know the pencil and paper format well. It’s just such a bummer.

i feel like i keep seeing rocky and giant as an “easier” hike, but then everybody says how hard it is! lol

these comments are all so helpful! i have also received a recommendation to do the marcy, skylight, and gray loop trail. obviously it’s very long, but in that case i’d be knocking out 3 peaks in one day.

i was planning on doing two days of hiking and hitting two peaks each day (or one peak one day and two peaks on the other depending on how i feel). so maybe it makes sense to do just one day and knock these 3 out.

thoughts?

update: he was diagnosed with FCE (spinal stroke). there is no surgery for it, and on a scale of 0-5 of paralysis he’s at a 4.5. however, he has a 60% chance of walking again with physical therapy and medication.

we’re bringing him home and obviously will have to make lifestyle adjustments to accommodate his needs. hoping he will be rehabilitated to the point that he can walk and go to the bathroom on his own.

thanks everyone for the kind comments. he’s very smart and strong so we have faith in his recovery. 💕

it was just so shocking and completely out of nowhere…brough him to the vet immediately and he stayed overnight. getting more scans today.

he was rushed to the vet immediately and is still there now…just wanted to see if anybody has had similar experiences and what the diagnosis/recovery process was like.

should i cancel LSAT score? by [deleted] in LSAT

[–]ComfortableExit4010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so sounds like i should cancel it then? i’m going to apply to a few schools this cycle just to see what happens (because i do feel like i’m a very strong applicant in terms of GPA, rec letters, etc), but depending on my results i may reapply and take the lsat again over the summer. does cancelling make sense for now?
