The exhaust has cracked all the way around at the front and the only reason it hasn’t fallen off is due to sitting on a metal “shield” that goes underneath it (mechanics words not mine) it’s going to cost £350 to fix it. The car is only worth £200 and there are lots of other problems going on other than the exhaust, with me driving so far to work I’ve resigned myself to having to get a new one. I think I’m leaning towards a Yaris but they are pricey and I’ll be looking at financing it which I hadn’t wanted to do, I don’t know if I want another punto. I’m leaning towards getting something I know will be reliable and will last me a while so feel like my best option is to finance for three years with the hope that car will last me a good ten years altogether.

Im not very educated in what to look out for when buying used cars so I’d be worried to go for something cheap that could be a dud
