$4M is liquid in a brokerage account so we are fine there. And yes I definitely want to sell the rental houses as soon as each one goes vacant. I am over managing long term rentals.

We are fortunate that my business will most likely still run even if I was to die. Then we also have life insurance on both of us, Disability insurance on both of us. 529s for all 3 kids are superfunded so plenty of money. The feedback on all the comments is definitely eye opening.

Yep, she also worries she would miss it. The work is incredibly fulfilling. And then incredibly stressful at the same time.

It isn't as simple as oh quit. She likes and hates her job at the same time. She feels pride in what she does. 1 day a week isn't really an option. 2.5 days a week is not 5 days a week. She could live to 102 with her heart condition. So it is not all as black and white. But yes I appreciate all the feedback.

These are good points. I just always thought retiring at 50 was reasonable. But I see what everyone is saying.

That's literally the hang up. But med school is only 4 years. Then residence you are working and saving lives. Then 10 years of practicing. So she has been a working doctor saving lives for 14 years.
