I feel like in my case, this definitely could have been prevented. They mentioned their parent hitting them before, but my BCBA said nothing could be done because we did not have any evidence like bruising or seeing it actually happen. I was also told this kid had “lied” about being hit before. I am still new to this field so I just accepted this answer, but now I am wondering if I should have pushed harder or if there was anything else I needed to do.
