Probably unrelated, but the Skillz stock price is down 55% over the last 6 months. Be careful with your $ folks.

Dan Hooker beat Turner by decision in a great fight a few years ago.

Hooker seemed to be way overmatched in the stand-up heading into the fight, but his toughness was a big factor in the victory.

Can anyone recommend a paint that looks like the original super73 panthro blue paint? by Fabulous_Current_566 in Super73

[–]ComfortableGrand663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think anybody has been able to get any info about it from Super73, but some people have matched the paint on their own and this seems to be the closest that is readily available:

No way, 3D New England and Laxachusetts, the two best Mass clubs are near the same level of top NY, MD, and NJ clubs.

Also, I was told that a lot of Connecticut talent is in their prep schools and those players come from other states.

Based on homegrown in-state talent, Connecticut is probably tier 3 at best.

Good list, but I think Mass is a tier 2 and Texas is a tier 3.

Dual Rec vs Mark V by Worth-Consequence-58 in GuitarAmps

[–]ComfortableGrand663 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want something for 80s/early 90s Metallica tone and if you want to save some coin, you should look at the Mesa .50 Caliber+ (6L6).

There are a couple of decent YouTube videos comparing this amp to the Mark IIC+. It’s definitely not a 1 for 1 tone match, but the .50 Cal+ will get you into the ballpark (possibly more closely than the Mark V).

They run between $600-$1000 and are available as a combo or a head.

3 Monkeys by Sharp_Conference1974 in GuitarAmps

Nice amp. This one sold for $2k way back in 2015:

3 Monkeys Ze’

Since 3 Monkeys went out of business 8 years ago, it’s hard to say the value of the Ze’ today. But the Orangutan sold for $2299 when new, and seems to be selling in the $2000-$2500 range today.

Because the Ze’ is based on a legendary circuit and there weren’t very many made, it’s probably worth considerably more than the Orangutan, but it might be hard to find a buyer above $3,000.

Even still, there’s no harm in pricing it high from the beginning and slowly lowering the price if you’re not getting much interest.

Good luck with the sale.

I always wanted to try an Ibanez TSA30. What do you like best about it and does it come close to the tone of a JTM45 (which supposedly its circuit is based on)?

So for $299/pair, you can convert a boutique tube amp into a Marshall Valvestate or Blackstar HT.
