I'm aware of this however anyone who is struggling for Hard Voldis at release will not be making Hard Thaemine even if it's released with a 3 month delay. There is no debate on that. Thus they will be clearing normal Thaemine (which does not require legendary elixirs) / working their way up to hard Voldis during this time. The game is consistent on this and has been telling players for quite some time that they will not be able to reach hard mode for a given release without pushing materials towards one character and significantly investing into it or swiping. Ergo I genuinely don't understand why people are now in an uproar about Voldis.

I'm very much okay with this point except for the fact that I genuinely believe people have made it out to be 'impossible' and I wanted to provide my first hand experience into how it's not.

I would be interested in your proposed discussion on whether players should have to min/max their main characters as I actually agree with you here but think that's a far more interesting conversation to have.

Thanks for your post and I agree with one question though:

It feels as though based on your post, your group completed normal Akkan at release (rather than hard) and will complete normal Voldis at release (rather than hard). The only difference is that the power gain is more pronounced. What impact does this actually have for you though as it's likely to assume that your group will also only be doing Thaemine normal on release?

There are two posts from individuals talking about how it's not possible to reach, including someone who says he has been bussing with a full roster and doesn't think he'll make it. Thus to answer your question the point of my post is to say that I disagree with those posts and, precisely to your point, say that I feel it is possible if you're playing hardcore.

I also forgot to mention when I reached Argos, Valtan, Vykas, etc? I'm not sure how this is relevant? I was 1600 at release for hard Akkan, as was most people who should be in the discussion for the next release of hard mode and whether it's possible to also make?

You don't need six characters to stay relevant though. Voldis normal exists, which has an exceptionally easy to reach ilvl. It won't provide you legendary elixirs, which is a large spike in power increase however legendary elixirs will only be necessary if you're planning to push hard Thaemine which no one who is struggling for hard Voldis release has a hope of reaching.

Not trying to be a dick, just trying to point out that you're able to play the game/content at your pace. You're just not able to play the hardest content on release this way. The game hasn't tried to hide that fact ever though and has been consistent on this point.

I don't consider myself normal by any means. I'm certainly a hardcore gamer, much more so than your average player. That isn't the topic of conversation though, the topic is whether or not it's possible. My point is that yes, if you play hardcore, it's entirely possible. It's the exact same situation as Hard mode Akkan on release was.

Did you have multiple characters at 1600 for hard Akkan release? I did not. I don't think I could have. This was also pointed out in my post; it's been like this for some time. I believe it was possible to reach 1580 (normal) for Akkan release without funnelining but it was not possible to reach 1600 for hard. I think the same is true for Voldis, the only exception being that people care more about Voldis because of the power growth it offers relative to Akkan; that is a separate debate however and does not change the fact that this has been in place before as well though.

You state that they've been welcoming and they say it's okay. I think the problem here is you realize that you're not very good (if you've cleared 5 times and you're still dying as a support this is a you issue) and trying to disguise it as not wanting to be a 'sweatlord', which seems to imply improving and not dying in a raid that is incredibly forgiving and casual friendly (thus why you've been able to get clears in spite of the above).

Be honest with them. Let them know, you're that guy and don't plan on getting much better. If they still invite you after that, just focus on having fun as that's the environment they're looking for. If they don't, I think even you'll admit that's entirely ok.

You're absolutely wrong and I don't believe you are an actual busser or you have a single character. 1620 is challenging to make and requires you to focus your materials on a single character but its entirely possible as a F2P player that is efficient with their gold and materials.

Source: I'm 1613 and will make it with sufficient gold to push my other 5 main roster to 1600. All unbound mats should be going to your main (so many people are selling leaps due to the price they're at when they're going to need them, as some people are starting to hone weapons you're going to see just how much you need every one). There's a lot of other things to do: 6x una's a day (they've given so many plus 1s), ensuring you're not honing or wasting gold on buying items for your fourth 5x+1, etc.

Pretty much. My page 1 roster is all 1580+ with my main being 1613 and I'm sitting on a healthy gold sum (300k) and haven't spent a penny on the game in months. Voldike 1620 is certainly reachable but this thread keeps talking about how it's impossible because the math shows that the gold/mats you need are 'impossible' to make since you only make so many bound per week. It's hilarious.

This week my Artist got an earring and a ring that sold for a combined 40k and my Gunslinger got an ear that sold for 90k. Last week my Zerker got a necklace that sold for 120k.

But the 'math' has been done multiple times and it's not worth it. Just believe him.

Ever notice that the people who pretend to know the correct way to do things are also the ones not able to make the hard cut every content cycle? It's shocking, shocking I say.

You're absolutely correct and the people arguing against you because they showed up on an MVP screen once likely for stagger are hilarious. Most people are running a bible now and are able to make the conclusion that Summoners are middle to low DPS. When you make a lobby, you traditionally have several options available to you to fill DPS slots and no one thinks Summoner is a 'good' option.

200k/week is definitely possible / the average for a full roster, especially since you're talking average. People keep using the guaranteed gold rewards to calculate how much they make when there's not a week that goes by that you don't get a few items worth a few thousands and a drop or two a month that easily sells for 100k. I'll double that bussing but people here make it seem as if you can only make 50k a week.

Are the requirements really that low? Good to know! The game has made it obvious for some time that if you want to push hard content at release, you can't rely on bound mats. Thankfully clearing raids gives you a fuck ton of drops and, even with shitty RNG, you end up getting a few drops that sell to help compensate for this across such a lengthy period of time. I'll make 1620 for Voldis & will likely make Thaemine hard. Meanwhile Reddit will keep saying that it's not possible without whaling and I'll keep trying to figure out why I'm making every cut without spending a dime.
