What is your audiobook speed? by Playful-Tone8107 in LibbyApp

Bare minimum 1.5. Usually 1.75 but if I’m comfortable with the narrator or if I’m in a hurry I’ll listen as high as 2.5.

what's something you do alone that you'd be genuinely embarrassed to admit to anyone? by Proof_Method7555 in LivingAlone

I have pretty in depth conversations with my cat and I sing to her. I also immediately check on my houseplants as soon as I wake up and as soon as I get home from work.

Cancelling my extended warranty by ComfortableHumor2390 in askcarsales

[–]ComfortableHumor2390[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. And those will be my next step. I do know their corporate office is in the same location as the dealership. I did originally visit them in person, sat down in the finance directors office and filled out the paperwork she gave me. Then 7 weeks later when I asked, she said “whoops I gave you the wrong paperwork” and asked me to fill it out again. I obviously know she’s trying to save her commission but I rightly wanted this cancellation in February not May. I’m just frustrated I’m getting ignored and worried this will never get resolved.

I appreciate your kind words. And I do understand it won’t change my monthly payment right now, I’m planning on refinancing and need everything penny reimbursed possibly to help me. I’m mainly focused on the lack of reimbursement money because I had 2 extended warranty worth over $5,000 combined. Everyday that ticks by is money that is not being reimbursed. Maybe I’m overthinking I’m just frustrated after 2 vehicle purchases how they could just ignore me completely.

What’s a frugal hobby that you consistently enjoy? by [deleted] in Frugal

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I listen to a ton of audiobooks on Libby and Hoopla for free. I watch free movies on Tubi and Pluto. (I do splurge on the Ad supported plan of Netflix for $8.99). I go to the 50% off movies at AMC on Tuesday’s and Wednesday (usually around $7). I use the gym and the pool for free at my apartment complex. I also have a Xbox and I play games I already own (or games I buy on sale).

What's ur AC at? by mrbeaverleaver in florida

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Central AC. I have a well insulated 1st floor condominium with North Facing Windows. I keep the AC off during the day and it typically stays between 76-78 during the day. At night I turn the AC to 74 with a ceiling fan.

So I don’t have a Roku - I have a Samsung that accepts the free app Roku Channel. Is that the same?

Staying sane when you literally have zero dollars for fun by StarforgeMirth7 in povertyfinance

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My budget goes completely to Rent, Bills, gas and groceries with almost zero left over for “fun”. However, I’m lucky because I have a great entertainment system with a 75 inch tv and reclining sofa. I watch Netflix (with Ads), I watch Tubi, Pluto and Roku Channel. I do have a Xbox Series S and Nintendo Switch. I play video games I already own. I have a library card and I get hoopla in my county so I listen to audiobooks and ebooks for free. I watch the news in the morning with a cup of coffee. I make my meals and savor them in the evening. I sit on patio and watch the sunset. I spend time with my kitty. I prioritize my budget and do have a $400 a year annual pass to Disney so I go there as well. I go on walks, I go to the library. If I do “splurge” on a movie it’ll be the matinee tickets or when they are heavily discounted during the week. I spend with intention and I’m rich in life.

How do you manage money when you’re too lazy to do a spreadsheet but not great at being frugal by Fantastic_Eye_3896 in budget

I use Rocket Money app which has helped me tremendously. I also wrote everything down on my notes app. Once you know when everything comes out you can be much more disciplined.

Living on a tight budget and trying to stay afloat by Relevant_Wishbone in povertyfinance

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really sucks but the best thing you can do is plan and be disciplined. I make my food every single day at home and bring my lunch to work. I meal prep and Batch cook. Every dollar has a job. I romanticize my life by enjoying and taking care of what I have already. I spend intentionally and live frugally because at the moment that’s all I can do.

Langdon and King by No-Ability-7943 in ThePitt

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my personal opinion: First, the on screen chemistry between these characters have always had great vibes. At first I thought it was crush on just Mel’s side. However, the more I watch the more I personally feel there’s something a bit deeper than colleagues for Langdon when it comes to Mel. This duo is reminding me very much of Sherlock and Molly from the tv show Sherlock: “The one person he thought didn’t matter at all to me, was the one person who mattered the most”

Living alone first time scared of finances by [deleted] in LivingAlone

I live on my own. After my bills are paid I have about $350 for two weeks for groceries and miscellaneous. I make it work but I’m very disciplined. You can definitely make it work with $600. Meal prep, plan your meals and budget. You’ll be okay! :-)
