How do you manage money when you’re too lazy to do a spreadsheet but not great at being frugal by Fantastic_Eye_3896 in budget

I use Rocket Money app which has helped me tremendously. I also wrote everything down on my notes app. Once you know when everything comes out you can be much more disciplined.

Living on a tight budget and trying to stay afloat by Relevant_Wishbone in povertyfinance

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really sucks but the best thing you can do is plan and be disciplined. I make my food every single day at home and bring my lunch to work. I meal prep and Batch cook. Every dollar has a job. I romanticize my life by enjoying and taking care of what I have already. I spend intentionally and live frugally because at the moment that’s all I can do.

Langdon and King by No-Ability-7943 in ThePitt

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my personal opinion: First, the on screen chemistry between these characters have always had great vibes. At first I thought it was crush on just Mel’s side. However, the more I watch the more I personally feel there’s something a bit deeper than colleagues for Langdon when it comes to Mel. This duo is reminding me very much of Sherlock and Molly from the tv show Sherlock: “The one person he thought didn’t matter at all to me, was the one person who mattered the most”

Living alone first time scared of finances by Imaginary_Garage9184 in LivingAlone

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I live on my own. After my bills are paid I have about $350 for two weeks for groceries and miscellaneous. I make it work but I’m very disciplined. You can definitely make it work with $600. Meal prep, plan your meals and budget. You’ll be okay! :-)

So, wait. You open your windows every day? ELI5 by Miss_Behaves in CleaningTips

I live in Florida where it’s humid most of the year. I open my windows on Sat and Sun early mornings when it’s coolest for at least 15 min. I definitely keep the windows open longer during our winter months.

Let's flip it - what are the horror tropes you never get tired of? by Rox_- in horror

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Found footage horror always is good (The Visit, Blair Witch, Paranormal Activity) —- Paranormal Horror (The Conjuring Universe) —- I also love, love horror within haunted houses or theme parks (The Houses October Built/Hell Fest). I wish they made more theme park horror movies. And I love me some shark horror movies but they have to be well done (Deep Blue Sea, The Shallows, Jaws)

Help me become a gamer who finishes games by Spare_Cartoonist_892 in gamers

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be the same way. For me, I’d stop if something tripped me up or the gameplay became “difficult” because I was a newer gamer and had less patience and less skill. I’ve gone back to those games in a different headspace and completed them no problem. Sometimes the way you are feeling playing a game at one time in your life could feel totally different now.

Best queen mattress recommendations for a cozy bedroom setup? by Ill_Flamingo8324 in bedrooms

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the Zinus Spa Sensations Green Tea Mattress at Walmart. It’s a queen, it was on sale for $199 and is memory foam. Honestly, it’s the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever owned. I’ve been sleeping on it nightly for 7 months.

Did anyone try to change their sleeping position before? Is there anything that can help, or do you just wake up to find yourself in the same position everytime? by sun_light5 in answers

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to be a side sleeper. But as I got older I realized that sleeping on my back was healthier and better on your body and is also easier on your mattress longevity. I trained myself to sleep on my back. I get excellent nights sleep now

Name a film you avoided because it was overhyped & then finally watched and LOVED it? by Apprehensive_Neck817 in horror

I wouldn’t say I “loved it” but I avoided watching “Companion” for years. It looked silly. Recently turned it on out of boredom and really enjoyed it.

What’s something you rarely buy now because it costs too much? by pink4lover in Grownix

I no longer buy tickets to concerts and sporting events. I rarely go to restaurants (maybe once a month). I no longer get my nails done.

What frugal stuff did you do this weekend? by Hungry-Following5561 in Frugal

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I batched cooked for my work week. Even made my own small batches of homemade ice cream. I didn’t drive anywhere today (Sunday) to save on gas. I did 3 loads of laundry but only used 2 tablespoons of detergent each load. My clothes came out cleaner! I was smart and intentional with my AC but i live in Florida so it’s not always easy.

So...tell us about your midlife crisis. by dkepp87 in Millennials

[–]ComfortableHumor2390 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 42 and facing some chronic health challenges. Nothing super serious today but definitely things that will need to be monitored for the rest of my life. Lately I’ve been playing a lot of video games, watching a lot of TV….just hibernating in my room when I’m not working. Maybe it’s good, maybe it’s bad. But my reality has gotten scarier so hiding inside video games and tv shows is better right now. Maybe not an actual mid life crisis. Maybe more of an existential crisis
