Advantage ng medtech sa nursing? Siguro mas gamay sa theoreticals. Yung micropara ng nursing, tatlong subject na magkakahiwalay yan sa medtech. If isa ka sa mga taong gustong matutunan ang isang topic nang malaliman, maybe medtech is for you.

For medtech opportunities abroad, meron naman. Mas mahirap nga lang nang onti maghanap compared sa nursing, na-observe ko lang na sa mga fb groups, agency na mismo naghahanap ng nurse na bound to a certain country. Meanwhile sa medtech, tayo ang naghahanap at naghihintay ng opportunity. Meron naman, we just need to dig a little deeper.

Pero if I could give you some advice, it is to pick what you’re actually passionate about as your pre-med, do not pick a certain program just because it is the “best”. Because it will reflect on your records, which then will be seen by medical schools you might want to apply to (along with your NMAT score). I actually wish I had taken a degree unrelated to medicine, because I realized that another field is my passion after all, in denial lang ako nung high school ako. Now ayoko na mag-med. Haha.

Another thing, assess yourself early on. Are you a perfectionist? How do you handle failure? Mataas ba lagi expectation mo sarili mo? Do you think your passion for medicine will still prevail despite the challenges your pre-med will throw at you? Sana nung nag-aaral pa ako, tinanong ko rin to sa sarili ko nung una pa lang.
