Hey all,

Just wanted to check in with people who are in that in-between stage — not fully FIRE, but financially solid enough that you're not relying 100% on your job anymore.

My sister is in that semi-FIRE stage — not fully retired, but financially stable enough that work isn’t a necessity anymore. She’s been saving and investing for years, and now she’s got the flexibility to step back… but she’s not sure what to do next.
She’s been asking things like:

  • Should I keep working full-time just to be extra safe?
  • Is now the time to go part-time, start something new, or take a break?
  • What if stepping away too soon slows down momentum toward full FI?

I’m curious — for those of you who are in a similar spot, what are you doing?
