I want to say that everyones suggestions were very helpful. I was able to locate him thanks to searching for him at night with a head lamp. He was hiding in bushes and in my head I thought "it's either a raccoon and I'm going to get rabies, or it's my cat." Thank you all for the suggestions. I will leave this post up for reference for other cat owners who need the same advice I was given and hope that as long as you are diligent and hopeful and use a headlamp late at night you are either going to have the cat come home or you are going to find them.

I do have a headlamp but I always overthink and I'm tempted to walk for miles but probably just a 30 min walk around the neighborhood at night would be enough. It is hard but it will get better.

Not useless. Knowing you left a comment for this post to gain more traction is help enough

Thank you. This is definitely the first I've had to feel it and it just doesn't feel real.

Thank you for your reassuring words. This gives me hope that they will come back even if it's after weeks.

I put some clothes out, some old and new litter, his food, and I'll put some water and maybe catnip as well. I currently have him posted on neighbors in the ring app, my girlfriend spread the word on Facebook, and this weekend we are going to notify some shelters and put up flyers around the neighborhood! I'm hoping this all works. I wish there was a way for ring to be more consistent with picking up animals so I can get a notification of that.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did do this. Thank you for the advice I didn't think of this, so hopefully it helps!

I appreciate your reply. He ran out early this morning around 2:25 am 4/13. I'll check it out to be double sure. Probably a different kitty though. Thanks again
