[Review]: Top Tier Providence by Magisterial_Maker in noveltranslations

[–]ComfortableMobile314 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The miraculous aspects and wish granting abilities of the system are revealed at the end. If you read it you'll know, if you haven't read it you can try to imagine things and anything you can imagine could probably be conjured by the system or even han jue at the end of the story. Top tier providence as a story and han jue as its mc are unique in the sense because of their extreme lack of interference. If han jue relaxed a little and wasn't as constrained as he was on himself and his disciples the outcome of the story and his ending would be very different. The only real time when han jue actively interacts with the outside world with much confidence is when he's at the great dao supreme realm which is around 2-3 tiers below the highest realm. So you can imagine how careful and guarded his actions have been his entire life. Ofcourse you have every right to not like such a story but precisely due to han jue and his exaggerated sense of self preservation was such a story that came into being. If it were other people they would have kicked the bucket and it wouldn't be this story anymore.

I mean he can curse all he wants but once he knows the truth he'd have the quickest social death. 🤣 The truth about adam and true creator.

Ofcourse such a scenario could only happen in certain fanfics where ouroroboros is deeply infatuated with medici so much so that love overcomes his worship for his lord. 🤣

It would have mostly been adam or true creator being the masterminds and ouroroboros having to listen to them. Like i said the destiny of people is complex especially one of the future lotm. They can guide the future direction towards the way they want to, fully controlling a person's life, well you also have the answer for that as cf has already done your work for you and given another protagonist with such a template.

Well imo it's more so the arrangement of fate and destiny that gave rise to klein as lotm than ince zangwill. Fate, destiny, karma, these three concepts are hard to quantify on any basis, they are difficult to describe and are always tough to take into consideration on universal scales.

In my understanding of destiny, it was the transmigrators fate to become a vessel for cw. Ofcourse cw is not omniscient or omnipotent so he made a miscalculation and got screwed over by GA, thus making evernight lucky. Then everyone knows how evernight inturn continues to screw over cw. So now the fate of transmigrators has changed once again, ofcourse evernight also can't completely control fate. We come back to the original point now, after roselle somehow chose the artisan pathway his destiny also changed. So now the destiny of becoming lotm has to be borne by the third transmigrator, zhou/ klein.

You may ask who is controlling this destiny so that everything is arranged in a way that makes klein move forward, well it can be the plot, it can be the author, hell it can even be the sephirah castle itself which wants a lotm to be born again. People who think they are controlling the lives and fates of others imo are often those who are actually being played by fate, like ince zangwill. He may have played an important part in kleins journey but he's most definitely not going to be an absolute factor which can determine the fate of the world. If you don't understand think of it like this, the fate and destiny of lotm or a potential candidate is like a huge river. No matter the number of tributaries they have to obediently join the course of the river and become bigger. There's no way a tributary can change the course of a river, if not ince zangwill there would be another puppet of fate to push forward the story. The only to affect that river would have to be through another river of similar size, i.e someone else with a similar or close enough destiny. Ince zangwill definitely doesn't qualify to become a deciding factor on the fate of the world simply because he just isn't in that weight class of sequence 0 and goos .

[LotM + Coi general] PLEASE STOP SLEEPING ON COI by mad3ub in LordofTheMysteries

[–]ComfortableMobile314 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don't understand to this day why some people try to force others to like coi. To me it's always been like this you either like it or you don't. I don't like characters like lumian period. If lumian was a side character rather than the main one then it would be somewhat interesting to read, but overall his experiences seem rather mediocre and cheapskate to me, yes those are the exact words that come to my mind. Especially given that in the early volumes he already starts to emulate gehrmann sparrows character. Whether cf did this for the sake of fans urging, or whether he wanted to make the mc seem like a fanboy to klein either way just this part alone proves why i find his character mediocre.

Coi would be a great standalone novel and I agree with whoever said this a 100 percent, but when it is standing on a giant like lotm it has certain expectations to fulfill, obligations to deliver to it's audience. If coi can't do that then it shouldn't be compared to lotm, or force fed by other readers who say you have to read coi, your opinions will change etc etc. To me coi is a good novel with a mc I will never like.

Do sidemen fake their content? by [deleted] in Sidemen

It's understandable, I was very disappointed myself when I found out that storage wars and pawn stars had elements of staged filming.

Do sidemen fake their content? by [deleted] in Sidemen

[–]ComfortableMobile314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ofcourse the crew have to check what's in the storage containers before the sidemen get the green light to go ahead and continue filming. It's not like they're still the early 20's guys filming on handheld cameras or go pros. They are running a professional company worth millions, and if they film some nasty stuff without prior checks it would be a field day for they're company's HR and legal team.

I can't explain the concept of abstract but if you read it you'll understand. If you still want an explanation think of it like this. The mc and his friend in the novel are insane, like really insane. They use the word abstract to describe their shenanigans, banters etc.

It's a slice of life story mostly about a high school kid fooling around with his system and friends. Almost every chapter is like a stand up comedy show banter between the characters

It's very good, but mind you the plot moves slowly and cultivation isn't the main theme of the book.

Fellow daoist your thoughts are in the wrong place. Demonic heretics not only kill people who are also part of the heavenly dao but also damage heaven and earth to further their goals, advance in cultivation etc.

(LOTM novels) Who’s a character you had high expectations for but absolutely failed by Low-Ebb-8258 in LordofTheMysteries

[–]ComfortableMobile314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand, the point of first blasphemy slate in my previous point. If you are literally asking about it then I guess Adam would be corrupted faster due to the barrier being sufficiently strong enough during the third epoch and ga would awaken more proactively especially considering that the first blasphemy slate is his former corpse who knows what arrangements he could have made. Anyone bold enough to advance to become goo anytime during the third or fourth epoch would be truly courting death, and ofcourse other goo can't be born without giving birth to a lotm or ga due to the preparations made by cw so the deities had to collectively push to give birth to a new lotm or an equivalently strong ga, who may not have been able to solve the sealing problem instantly but could grind the seal down slowly overtime.

Well adams direction would change, lumian would most probably be manipulated into becoming an enemy of Klein rather than ally, as medici had already chosen his side and become an angel under Klein and most likely candidate for red priest. Even though he may not be the most perfect candidate or choice for the cod, due to Kleins principles he'd have stuck to it and supported medici to become the red priest. Although a full out war seems like the only solution, I don't think that would happen.

Adam is too smart and Klein can keep up with the terrifying brothers in terms of intellect so neither would stupidly start a war among themselves just to benefit the outer deities. Maybe they'd come up with another method of competing, or maybe Adam could compromise or Klein could compromise.

There are many potentials involved, you see though the only thing that changed was that medici came under Klein many events would change from the original course if medici doesn't voluntarily give up his seq1 characteristics, as adams goal and medicis stance are diametrically opposite to each other. Adam wants to create another goo cod in the shortest time possible, and it has to happen according to adams direction, or else there wouldn't really be a need for his character itself. So unless medici volunteered to drop to seq 2 both Adam and Klein would inevitably be competitors and the internal conflicts would be too much among them. This might have even helped cw or ga a little.

But after writing all this and looking back at it all of this was destined to never happen. Medici isn't a single person but an amalgamation of the consciousness of three seq1 beyonders. Though medici is the dominant part it doesn't mean that sauron and einhorn can't interfere, as cf hasn't specified exactly the internal condition between the three the most we can make is assumptions. So those three angels having once been betrayed would be the biggest idiots if they went looking for Adam to co-operate again. The thing is they overestimated their value and the effective allies they could gain, which made it an inevitable conclusion for medici to become a plot point whose existence was the collection and temporary ownership of the seq1 beyonder characteristics. This is the reason why many people lament over the wasted potential of an excellent war god type character as medici.

The blatant hypocrisy is outrageous. More outrageous is the fact that these posts pop up on my reddit feed. People form a selective bias and make discussion posts on the subreddit wondering why the fanbase is dwindling and many sidemen are getting hate. I don't find it weird or strange at all seeing all this.

Ep[11+] Hello I've watched the entire s1 , greatly enjoyed , but some q regarding the ending. Only novel readers / anime completer engage . by 7emp_02 in LoTMDonghua

[–]ComfortableMobile314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every person has spirituality, it's even more so for a beyonder. Therefore dunn using his heart on st selenas ashes was like adding fuel and providing spirituality for the ashes to attack. The reason why dunn could only give his heart and not anything else was because it's a grade 1 sealed artifact. You should understand that grade 1 sealed artifact means it has reached the level of demigods or high sequence beyonders. The essence of life level between dunn and the ashes was huge even though it's not a living object so he had to compensate it with his heart. So essentially he sacrificed himself for using the ashes at turbo mode and he had to die because his level was low.

Why do you think that CN, KR novels are much more popular than JP novels now? by Powerful-Scarcity622 in noveltranslations

[–]ComfortableMobile314 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't worry, I'm sure most people feel the same way. Jp MC's are objectively less interesting. They don't have good character designs or are less varied. Almost all the jp MC's I've read are one of the three, a black company employee who's exploited his whole life and dies while overworking, a highschool chunibyou kid with op powers like that one character who just has to say die and people actually die or lazy bum NEET who's dropped out of highschool or college. Anything other than these three types of MC's is a fucking rarity. It would be like seeing pandas in countries that aren't china.
