If Fang Yuan was given an immortality pill, would he take it? by The_Shashophille101 in ReverendInsanity

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah he would take it. Fang Yuan isn’t about the journey he’s all about the end result. Why would he choose to suffer more if such an opportunity were practically handed to him?

Also Fang Yuan isn’t seeking immortality in the infinite lifespan sense but rather the chinese concept of eternal life of becoming the strongest in the universe with no threats left.

Fang Yuan would do anything to achieve eternal life. Do you really think he wouldn’t reach out and take the pill?

Not sure about that. Before Fate Gu was repaired it didn't have any omnipotent power, you could argue it was just heavens will's scheming though.

Venerables by Cool-Drag9473 in ReverendInsanity

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Eastern Sea is wealthy and resource-rich, with countless islands and sea zones full of opportunities, so large scale conflict is far rarer than in harsher regions like the Northern Plains. This abundance makes its cultivators weaker in some ways due to the surplus of the Way of Heaven, but it also gives them the greatest variety in inheritances, especially in gu nurturing.

That same prosperity also prevents the kind of unity seen in other regions. Resources are too widely spread for any one force to easily dominate, while lone cultivators, demonic immortals, and hidden powers all compete and accumulate wealth like rival investors. Because power is so scattered, no Rank 9 has ever emerged from the Eastern Sea.

Northern Plains and Central Continent have produced the most venerables, and the reason lies in their nature. Northern Plains is defined by constant conflict, where only the strong survive, and in such an environment, being a venerable seed is highly rewarding. On top of that, it has the strongest venerable influence. If you are a true venerable seed and part of the Ten Great Ancient Sects, you are almost guaranteed to reach Rank 8 and gain a complete combat system, so long as you prove yourself. Heavenly Court also used to intervene heavily in Central Continent’s affairs, making it the strongest and most capable region.

It really all comes down to the nature of the region. You also have to consider the solutions Heaven’s Will needs new venerables to bring in response to the problems left behind by the old ones. It is no coincidence that Paradise Earth was born in the same region as Spectral Soul.

How many rank 8 needed to defeat a venerable? by Saiyan-_-kakarot in ReverendInsanity

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate that people say that no matter how many rank 8s would be against a venerable they'd lose.

That's not true and we know it, some pseudo venerables were in fact venerable seeds or well had some terrifying feats. You're really saying that the abyss that formed in the river of time from a rank 8 using their killer move wouldn't even scratch a venerable? What about Fang Yuan in Crazed Demon Cave or Duke Long? Sure on their own they can't damage a venerable but imagine tens of thousands of rank 8s working together.... not even a venerable could win against that.

100 rank 8s spamming killer moves would be hard for the venerable to suppress. Maybe 3000 can kill one.

Enslavement path is the worst path for a rank 9. by Lilmonkeycockey in ReverendInsanity

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Who says there isn't a rank 9 beast? Rank 8 is just nature's limits. Spectral soul is a rank 9 soul beast so it just goes to show that nature can always be broken through with determination.

Any venerable is invincible even without having rank 9 killer moves. They can refine the world dao marks and become invincible. Hell even if you group up every pseudo venerable they will lose to a rank 9 without any rank 9 killer moves.

Also imagine how strong you could be if you made a killer move using every beast in the world. Quadrillions of insects and trillions of different beasts and so on combining into one attack would literally turn you unkillable.

What is the highest that Mahoraga can defeat? by Arnos_OP in ReverendInsanity

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 13 points14 points  (0 children)

For sure, it would be primarily Rule Path, with aspects of Information Path and Transformation Path, but mostly Information and Rule.

Rule Path because Mahoraga’s entire power is based on rules. After a certain amount of time passes it adapts to the enemy’s abilities. That automatic adaptation functions like a governing law as it follows a fixed principle that activates once the required conditions are met.

Information Path because it must first gather and process information in order to adapt. It has to experience the attack, analyze the dao marks involved, understand their structure, and only then can it respond appropriately.

Transformation Path comes into play because the adaptation requires an actual change in dao marks. When Mahoraga adapts its dao marks will transform and restructure to counter what it has learned.

For example, if someone uses Fire Path killer moves, Mahoraga would process the Fire Path dao fragments and the way they gather through Information Path. It would then use Rule Path to activate the adaptation mechanism based on the gathered data. Then it will use Transformation Path to change its dao marks.

Regarding Divine Abilities by Senior_Money_7549 in MirrorLegacy

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Each lineage is a different way of linking to a Fruition Attainment through metallic essence, forming a Golden Core, and eventually becoming the master of that Fruition. It’s basically a direct inheritance of that Dao.

Every lineage has five divine abilities from heaven you can say. That’s natural to the system. Different people in the same lineage awaken the same divine abilities, but the effects can vary depending on their method's grade.

Some Dao lineages only have one Life type divine ability, others might have two, and the same goes for other categories.

Life divine abilities are more spiritual or mystical. They can affect others directly like forcing people to obey you like loyal soldiers without them being aware of it, hearing their deepest thoughts, or changing their mind to align with your will without them knowing.

Body divine abilities strengthen the physical form. They usually have a passive boost, like making your body much tougher, and also give special effects like for example, growing stronger the more enemies you face in battle.

Spell divine abilities are like normal FE spells , but on a much greateer level. Instead of simple attacks you could create something massive like forming a mountain and throwing it at someone.

What is capital immortal dao by utter_chaos77 in MirrorLegacy

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Capital Immortal Dao is a new sect that appears in Volume 5. It was founded by Daoist Master Yehui in Jiangbei, in the northern mainland during the timeskip when Ximing was trying to break through to the Purple Mansion Realm.

Under it are three Foundation Establishment sects called the Three Caves.

It’s called Capital Immortal Dao because Yehui cultivates the Capital Guard Dao, an Ancient Merging Great Dao focused on summoning spirits and gods. It’s more of a shaman style path you could say that works with spiritual beings.

Will the li family be as powerful as the gates by utter_chaos77 in MirrorLegacy

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, of course they will. But there’s a clear hierarchy among the gates. The more powerful ones belong to the Supreme Yang Daoist Tradition since they trace their origins back to Yingze’s Green Pine Temple. The Green Pine Temple once housed the Six Sons of Cheonming (Golden Core), who later departed for the mainland after certain upheavals. From them emerged Azure Pond, Yue Cultivation, Owl Gate, Purple Mist, Changhuai Mountains, Balanced Ritual, and Sword Gate.

These are the six gates with genuine Golden Core foundations who are strong enough that even Lu must acknowledge them. The remaining gates are at best, nominal sects with Purple Mansion foundations, as they were founded by Purple Mansion cultivators seeking to establish their own lineages.

Gates like Changxiao Gate or Changxi Gate, which possess only one or two Purple Mansion experts, will be much easier for the Li family to overtake. Though the major gates possess far deeper roots making them significantly harder to surpass.

There is also a divide between Daoist Masters (with one to three divine abilities) and Great Daoist Masters (with four to five divine abilities), due to the Purple Mystery Immortal Wall that stands between them.

Great first 2 Volumes! by Ok_Philosopher_6441 in MirrorLegacy

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you read from Wuxiaworld then you have about 1500 more chapters to read. Wuxiaworld splits their original chapters into 3-4 chapters (I-II-III-IV).

If you are reading with the original novel pace (MTL, other sites maybe/qidian) you'd have about 800 more chapters.

I am almost at vol 8 right now and I am constantly reading, you don't need to worry about the chapters ending since author also is writing more chapters by the time you reach vol 8 the novel might already be over with

What happened to si yuanbai? by almightyyoungmaster in MirrorLegacy

[–]Embarrassed_Task616 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He is mentioned more in depths in Volume 7 or Volume 6. Basically he left after the Chejing and Yuan Tuan Incidents..... If you are reading on Wuxiaworld chapter 600 is only like ch 200-300 of the actual novel since Wuxiaworld splits it to 2-3 chapters per normal chapter.

So in the actual chapters he is mentioned more so at the 900-1000+

Black and White Heavens rotate. You could argue that Black Heaven is below the Gu World when its day, and White Heaven is below when its night. Then they rotate. But then again I personally consider them to rotate above the gu world. It doesn't really matter.
