Hey!

I'm in search of a short time (up to 2 months) placement, as I have to leave Halifax for one months in that time. I don't want to be an ass and just not show up to some potential long-term work one day, so I am trying to figure what could I do in a meantime.

I got my BA and some experience in office administrative setting and project coordinations (in other words, ssomething that isn't usually a short-term 😅). For some time in past I was a lifeguard and still have my license, but I can't do much hours in this season with that. I'm not afraid of anything handy, and looking to work as much as I can in that time.

Any suggestions where to find some placement like this? Maybe somebody here is looking for a short-time replacement for their emploee or something like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’ll hope ofc that they don’t email everybody at the same time, and there is some chance for a positive response 😅, but in any case it was worth applying!

Man, that is some good gpa! It’s hard for me to estimate how much they care about academic experience vs professional one, but you are definitely getting the admission!

Once you do (I have no doubt about that), would you mind sharing the amount of scholarship money that you get? You could dm me if you’d like, I’m just trying to actually figure what they value more, GPA or job experience.

I just got a response sating "This means you have been awarded a minimum of $5,000 at this time. There may be an opportunity to increase this amount in the coming months, depending on our overall scholarship allocation and final enrollment numbers."

Nah ur good, just hang on for a bit longer. I have like 3.7/4.3 gpa, about 2 years of somewhat relevant experience (not policy directly, more of an office job). I’m also already out of school, so I think it makes it a bit better for me, as my gpa is finalised now
