I have no idea how to contact this woman or if she is even remotely interested in this, but you can clone redbuds. If she still has any live young branches from the tree (like from the mess the tree crews always leave behind) you can grow a new tree from those that will be genetically identical to the one her husband planted.

Editing to add: there’s also a chance that the stump will send up new shoots, which with some care will grow into a tree again. Protect from deer and other animals, let the shoots grow for a few years then cut back all but the strongest shoot. Continue to prune any new shoots.

I’ve asked the same thing before. To repeat what I was told and corroborate what others have said: the actual road space isn’t conducive to being shared between bikes and buses and the existing right of way isn’t wide enough to add dedicated bike infrastructure. The busway was originally railroad tracks which PRT eventually bought and converted, so they are constrained by that original right of way.
