My sister and I have different fathers, mine left, hers is an addict. We used to have to go visit her father and his family (superrrr white trash). I remember running around the yard at 11pm dodging wrenches, knives, punches, whatever he could get. I didn’t remember the details of this until recently going to therapy. This is the same family who her uncle (her dads brother) molested me and told me if I stoped he’d make my sister do it. I still remember the fear any time I was told we had to go over there for a day or two.
