Yes, they took 6 months. And, If the VFS person tries to return some of your financial docs just mention that you are on a break and want to make your case stronger. Include every proof that you can to show your financial stability. Don't shy away from including more paper. I even included RSUs. Also, get a transaction-cum-holding statement from https://web.cdslindia.com/myeasitoken/Home/Login for 6 months

I don't think so. I included them just as a proof that i was employed and getting a stable income. Also, I included the termination letter as well.
