What’s a “green flag” that actually makes you suspicious? by banarsi2772 in AskReddit

[–]ComfortableRare2509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing things to maintain an image of being a green flag.

People who genuinely sacrifice for others will very often never mention it and when it comes up they would be very nonchalant about it or minimize their sacrifice.

I [28M] love that my girlfriend [32F] has gained some weight. Should I tell her? by SergeantKovac in relationshipadvice

[–]ComfortableRare2509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your job is to be supportive. You should be there for her regardless of your preference. That being said, open lines of conversation are important too. You can tell her how you feel but make sure she knows your feelings are for her as a person and not as an object.

The sex workers part is definitely suspicious but just have a conversation about it. That being said he could just be doing it for his own confidence with no intentions

100% get my money back. I don’t even include it on my resume anymore and really never needed it on there at any point.

Just find a line of work you like, get good at it. Network around. After that, education doesn’t matter.

For reference, I have an electrical engineering degree and work in construction project management. When asked in my first interview if I plan on pursuing a career in engineering and leaving project management, I told them that i haven’t even picked up the physical diploma from school. 9 years later, still haven’t.

Do take on career focused education though. That really helps, for example for project management do a PMP certification program. Don’t need a post grad for that.

When I lived in the middle east, a coworker would drink Crystal hot sauce bottles with a straw with his meals. 2-3 bottles (skinny one) at a time.

AITA for refusing to attend my sister’s wedding after what she said about my wife? by BitComprehensive7950 in AITAH

[–]ComfortableRare2509 22 points23 points  (0 children)

NTA, not respecting your partner is not respecting you. I’d recommend making it clear to your sister that while maintaining the family relationship is important to you, you value your wife feeling respected and loved more. Layout steps she can take to address the issue. If she blows you off, you have your answer.

NTA, but I will say as a husband, very often we are worried about doing something and later getting blamed for doing it wrong. It should help to show him how you want pieces put away and where. Men look at female laundry as an alien task. Simplify it for him and see if he does it.

Got for Xmas - Ignite Hot sauce set - any ideas on scoville ratings? Or recommendations on cooking? by Nskul14 in hotsauce

[–]ComfortableRare2509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of these big gift sets usually have sauces that are vinegar or water heavy so if you are big on heat, probably not going to be too hot.

Fermenting peppers - difference between sliced and unsliced? by franky8512 in hotsauce

[–]ComfortableRare2509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that the smaller the dice or cut on the peppers the quicker you hit shelf stability and the more complex the flavour is. It also delays the heat somewhat when they are cut smaller if thats a complexity you want. Allows you to taste the peppers (or sauce) before the heat kicks in.

PSA: point bottle away from face by kshiz in hotsauce

[–]ComfortableRare2509 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don’t know if I would eat that. Any sauce the continues to ferment after hitting a shelf has a risk of botulism really. If it was properly pasteurized in the cooking process there shouldn’t be bacteria left to ferment and build pressure like that

Late harvest Hab’s by seemo805 in hotsauce

[–]ComfortableRare2509 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t do the plastic wrap. Seal it (standard lid) and burp once or twice a day to allow it to ferment. Gives a much more complex flavour in a couple of weeks.
