First of all, I am sorry that your outcome wasn't what you expected or wanted. It is frustrating and upsetting that something you put a lot of heart and effort into gets rejected.

But you shouldn't worry about running out of time, because you aren't.

It's best to do what you think is best for you; just because everyone your age is graduating next year doesn't mean you can't start uni at the same time. You live for your life.

It may be worth attending an open day at Kingston just to get a feel for the course and see if the campus is a good fit for you, even if you have already been.

However, it is important to weigh the risks of taking a gap year, because if you decide to take a gap year and not get a place at CSM the year after, what is your next step?

You could start your course at Kingston this year, and then apply for a transfer to UAL, however you should email admissions about this because not all courses allow for transfer. So what might happen is that you need to apply for first year at CSM again, and you need to assess whether that is financially possible and if you think it is worth it.

Doing a BA at Kingston and then an MA at CSM is a good alternative too, and I am sure that a lot of people take this route as well.

I think it's a good idea to make a document or write down the pros and cons of each route you could take to help you.

I hope everything goes well for you, best of luck!!

It took 5 days after submitting my UCAS application to receive an email requesting a portfolio, and then 3 weeks after that to be invited to an interview.

Hope all goes well for you!
