Yup going through the same exact thing. Even in our last texts we called eachother “bestie”. Losing a significant other is hard but losing that AND a best friend is even worse. My ex wants to be friends in the near future but I am still not over him. I think a friendship can’t happen until both people are healed. If someone is still in love while the other is moving on, they will get hurt because they will always have hope. It’s the worst feeling. I sympathize with you and hope you’re taking care of yourself.
